First I want to congratulate the zoobs for a great season so far. With that being said it has brought all the self righteous obnoxious fans back out of the closet. Life was so much better when they were irrelevant.
This Saturday winning 9 out of the last 10 being a bigger national brand or losing 4 in a row doesn’t matter. The only thing that w…[Read more]

Hard to evaluate talent when playing a high school level teams. The million dollar question is can we match up with athleticism and talent in the Big12.

With Rising returning the focus shifted to the “throw game”. Paying Qb WRs and tight ends instead of JJ. Can’t replace a big back like JJ without $$. If we have more NIL we get JJ back and suddenly a Bernard JJ backfield looks pretty good. NIL is destroying under financed programs. If it weren’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all.

Thanks for the breakdown. We’ve gone from the athletic Pac12 to the more athletic Big12. When will the coaches figure out we need athletes and development to be competitive or a rich sugar daddy to buy developed athletes. NIL is sucking the life out of our program.

My comment was our defense and he threw for 25 yards. He was horrible.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Favorite and least favorite rivalry moments? in the forum Football 3 weeks, 1 day ago
Favorite moment was winning 9 in a row. Least favorite was losing that 10 in a row game and listening to the BYU fans act like they had just won the Pac 12. Good news is we will either be 10-1 or they will be 2-9.

I’m 8-0 taking BYU vs the spread. This week is much harder. I can’t do it. I’m going Utes +4.5. I think they right the ship. BYU is the better team at this point but we have equal or better talent to pull off a big win!!

I believe BYU has covered the spread every week. Odds makers way under valued them early on. Will they shift the other direction? I think Utah will be highly motivated which is 4 games too late. If Rose can make a few plays and no mistakes we have a good chance of winning. BYU is a better team going in to the game.

In the past our defenses have made freshman QBs look bad. Daniels at ASU and last year the 5* freshman from UCLA. You never know what will happen until they are put in the game. Some guys practice great but aren’t game ready and others aren’t great practice players but are game ready. Rose is in his third year so even though he hasn’t played much…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic 🌹 QB1 in the forum Football 3 weeks, 1 day ago
I hope Rose gets a shot this week. Wilson is not ready yet. He developed bad habits in high school with a dominant offensive line. He could hold the ball forever and wait for receivers to clear the zones. BYU will bring pressure and force quick decisions like every other team has.
The key to beating the TDS will be QB runs for 1st downs.…[Read more]

Thanks for the words of encouragement Matt. You have plenty to be excited about being in the BigXII. BYU has been so irrelevant for so long they are being underrated each week. (nice for my bank account betting on them every week)
We embraced the Pac12 the same as you are embracing the BigXII. So maybe it will take a while to come on board 100%.…[Read more]

I started betting 20.00 per game in college and NFL. I pick a couple games each week and it gives me a rooting interest in the games. Plus fantasy football leagues.
I never missed a Jazz game or Ute BB game from the seventies on until a couple years ago. I can’t stand the new style of play. The athleticism has gone off the chart and it’s tre…[Read more]

Press-on I just looked at your past posts and you haven’t had a positive post all season. Feel free to mix in something positive once in awhile. You seem angry and very opinionated. This program needs support right now.

Rose is bigger than IW maybe a few 3rd and 4th down RPOs. Make the defense adjust instead of offense adjusting.

My thoughts also. Not sure Wilson’s bad habits can be changed in two weeks. Rose is more of a wildcard. If he can get rid of the ball quick and hit the back in the flat to nullify the blitz he should be the starter.

Will that attitude transfer to the team or will they fight back and put BYU back in their place. My confidence level is the lowest in 15 years but I’m curious to see which team shows up. BYU is coming to RES to send a message and they will be ready to dominate early and take the crowd out. Let’s win the toss take the ball first and go down and score.

Interesting thoughts Ghost. Rose must have a big chip on his shoulder like Cam when Brewer was handed the starting job. Million dollar question “who gives us the best chance to win”. Hill will put heavy pressure on both regardless who starts. We’ve seen it the last 4 games. Can we adjust and take advantage?
