All yall? BYU humor at its finest. No other fans of another team would be chirping after going 1-9 against their rival. So we know it can only be a Y fan. At least mix in a crud flip or a drinking comment.

I’ll guarantee you he can’t be worse. Maybe equally bad. He should know the offense by now and two weeks to practice with the 1st offense. BYU will blitz Wilson every play.
First time watching Rose was interesting. He is bigger and has better touch on the short passes. I’m all for seeing what he can do with 2 weeks of prep. Wilson should get h…[Read more]

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Does the team want Isaac at QB? in the forum Football 4 weeks, 1 day ago
You could say the same for a freshman Daniels at ASU or a first year Cam Ward at WSU or a 5* Moore from UCLA who is now at Oregon. QBs take time to develop. Unfortunately losses come with game experience unless you have a reliable running game.

There is still a few players off the 2021 loss. There is plenty of motivation. Question is can we score more than 14 pts. Bring in Alex Smith for a day as the “QB whisperer”

Interesting takes thanks. Supposed fight in the locker room after TCU game. Players isolating and uninterested players are a culture problem. Scalley has his hands full.

Cams been in the QB room all year. He is aware of the other QBs strengths and weaknesses. I’m sure he has heard any rumblings in the locker room. He has a good relationship with Whitt and Ludwig. I’d like to think there is some communication going on as to who should be playing QB.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Game time announced for Holy War @ 8:15PM in the forum Football 4 weeks, 1 day ago
I agree I would show Utah at 10:15 MT then nobody would need to watch. BYU is undefeated and ranked close to top 10. Why punish them?

Total BS. 8:15 game in Nov. why isn’t this a prime time game? BYU is undefeated and the holy war should have national exposure.

Great points shame. I’ve wondered that all year. Huard has the skills and experience. Tired of the not knowing the playbook excuse. Let him play and see what he can do. He can’t be worse that’s for sure.

Where is Cam in this Qb debacle? If anyone has the pulse of the team it’s him. Why wouldn’t he step up and be a leader even if he’s out. Let the coaches know about the team concerns. These aren’t high schools kids anymore. Team leaders have access to coaches. Maybe Whitt and Ludwig wanted IW to be the the new Cam but he’s not.

I agree with physical skills it’s the development and decision making I was referring to. They all played bad regardless of skills.

Interesting thoughts. With the exception of Huntley and Rising Whitt has always struggled handling the QBs. Huard certainly couldn’t be any worse than the other two. Now we go in to the BYU game with no QB. The players always know who’s better or who they want to follow.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Kicking and special teams woes in the forum Football 1 month ago
This team put too much pressure on itself to win. All year it seems like they play to not lose and make things harder on the whole team. It’s a domino effect that hits all phases. The kicking game is a reflection on the whole team.

A few years ago a freshman QB by the name of Jayden Daniels came to RES. He played for ASU. He was horrible and I remember thinking this guy is highly touted. By who ? He could run but couldn’t throw. Two years ago Dante Moore a 5* from Detroit came to RES with UClA and same results. Cam Ward was horrible at WSU his first year (transferred from s…[Read more]

Trying to get ESPN+ through xfinity. Anyone know how long you have to wait after sign up before it activates?

I’m always interested in who steps up and makes a play for the team. We have been playing not to lose and nobody wants to make a mistake. Play lose and have fun (novel idea).

A playoff game at the orange bowl in Miami would be fun. Some to get out of the cold for a few days.

Maybe he is a game time decision each week. Seriously either he isn’t good enough to play or Wilson just stands out at practice. Wilson emerged as the clear #2 in fall camp. It’s hard to believe he hasn’t as least got a series or two the last two years.

Jim Vanderhoof replied to the topic Should Whitt stay or go? in the forum Football 1 month ago
Wankers?
Nobody’s questioning what Whitt has done. Nobody is forcing him out. He has built a solid program with a winning culture that attracts recruits. Two questions you forgot to ask “is he going to retire soon” yes “ does that affect the program “yes. We already have the next coach in waiting. It would be different if we were hiring an…[Read more] - Load More
