ladyinred replied to the topic Here is why Huntley is the correct choice, IMO. in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
Your source says Huntley? Sweet. Troy it is!In all seriousness, I don’t get why Huntley transfers if Troy starts. He gets meaningful minutes this year, and takes the reigns next year. Why is it such a bad situation for him? Plus his 2 buddies are here. I can see why Troy would transfer though. I think that would be terrible.

ladyinred replied to the topic Why you don't play two QB's: in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
Just thinking aloud, I wonder if this has anything to do with concern about the O line. Maybe Huntley shows better escapability when the pocket collapses, which they are maybe expecting. But that’s practicing against THIS defense…I’d run fast af too.

That was an unwise move on Huntley’s part, yikes. They need to proceed on the social medias with caution.

I don’t know how I feel about this.
I like the idea of him getting more time this year to prepare for next year, for specific packages, red zone plays, certain situations. But what happens if he struggles and Troy needs to be put in the game? Then how is Troy going to handle it? Plus doesn’t Huntley need to put on weight?

If Sitake is wildly successful, he ain’t staying in Provostan.
I could see one of the Arizona schools trying to poach him.And yes, definitely, if the shoe were on the other foot Sitake wouldn’t hesitate to knife us.

(party, weed, girls – denied it)
I think this is what the dictionary says when you look up ”college”.
I don’t like the idea of him going to UW. That hurts us, kind of like if Carrington went to UA instead.
I hope the rumor of him wanting to come to the U is true. I am with iron, screw tds, burn all bridges! -

I like it!
In all seriousness, if this kid wants to play in the pros this is the best decision for him. The idea of a 25 year old junior sitting out a year for an infraction likely only unforgivable at BYU is insane. He needs to gtfo for his own career’s sake while there’s still time.

Preach!
I do agree the part about his parents not knowing is fishy, but then again maybe the BYU people aren’t allowed to say what it is in front of them? I don’t know. if it were something criminal, the public record would have been discovered by now. It’s probably just something like sexy time or legal drinking (he’s 25 ffs).

This endangerment argument is the biggest crock of shit they’ve come up with yet, and that’s saying something because they’ve served up many piles of crap arguments in the past.
When I see exactly zero minivans/sedans with big ugly Y stickers driving around the valley distracted by their cell phones, then maybe I’ll reconsider their sob story.…[Read more]

They (say they) think it sends the wrong message to society (or something) that Utah signed him almost immediately after his removal from Oregon. So they think he didn’t sit in time out long enough, got off the hook because he’s talented and Utah had an immediate need, and that all reflects badly on Utah football’s values.
To that I say, 1- fuck…[Read more]

This is a totally valid point. But those donors along with the school need to decide how much they value the football program. It’s not just about the players that have trouble living the honor code, but also the parts of it that look like bias to those considering their fit in a p5 conference. I just can’t honestly see how the program survives.

It’s not even just that he signed on to live under their sharia law to begin with, but that he is redshirting instead of transferring out of the program now? Another thing that’s bugging me is the tds fans bemoaning that it’s so unfair he can’t play but Utah can sign Carrington. As if the 2 situations are even remotely similar. You are a fan of a…[Read more]

ladyinred replied to the topic I don't get this line of thinking: in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
So, for almost any other team I think this idea of a fast offense hurting the defense is a legit concern. However, Utah defense is built to withstand the pain of an at incompetent offense. Our defense has kept us in, and won for us, many games that would’ve otherwise been blowouts.
My view is that if this new offense is only slightly better than…[Read more]
