One other thing that needs to be said: this punter needs to learn to deliver his trash talk more eloquently. It took me several re-reads plus context to figure out what point he was even making. Tom Hackett set the trash talk bar high.

I would go further than that even. Some Utah “fans” are downright disgusting/embarrassing/etc. In my experience anyway, these are not alumni typically, but rather locals that have latched on to the team even if they never stepped foot on campus for actual classes. People in Utah are also generally more defensive. Not necessarily the best personality trait, but better than being offensive I suppose?

If missionaries cannot be relied upon to keep their ”commitments”, then I don’t see how programs continue to want to offer them. I’ve noticed this topic on twitter, people making a fuss about a guy flipping to tds from Oregon State.

If this missionary poaching continues, at what point do big programs just reconsider offering kids who are going on missions? It seems like it only hurts the kids in the long run.
