Bottom line is, if there’s anything questionable or ambiguous have it put in the contract explicitly, including pro-rated interest. Compounded semi-annually literally means that no interest is calculated until 6 months in. So you need to put a clause in that either doesn’t allow for early payoff, or if there is early payoff, interest is calculated…[Read more]

leftyjace started the topic I think we have a winner in the King Ute Message Board contest in the forum Misc 7 years, 9 months ago
Note – this isn’t meant to belittle other boards at all – it’s just making an observation.
I went and looked at SaltyUtes. Yes, looks like a decent format, but… no activity. Like, none. Hardly anything going on over there.
I went and looked at Utahby5. 91,000 posts in 4 years. That’s an average of 22,750 a year. And what’s been going on here?…[Read more]

Try Google Hangouts. If you can get friends/family on it, it’s great.

leftyjace replied to the topic Where is everyone from Utefans going to? in the forum Misc 7 years, 9 months ago
They will consolidate to the most active community.
I’ve never been on Utahby5 or SaltyUtes.
Are either of them as active as here?
Do either of them get scoops or insider information faster than we have here?
Those would be two main determining factors for which one “comes out on top”… eventually. -

Today’s points about the effects of an escalated trade war were interesting.
There were also some very interesting letters at the bottom of today’s Blog.
Some other articles that apply to those letters and the thoughts…[Read more] -

Something just occurred to me.
Wouldn’t benefit business in the United States and our exports if countries in Europe started establishing stronger military’s, and subsequently needing to buy additional military equipment?
Look, before any of you get your panties in a wad I am not advocating military buildup in Europe. I think that is a mistake.…[Read more] -

I wish these companies that were pulling out of the outdoor retailer show because of Utah’s outdoors policies would also make it a point to note that they are also withdrawing because of Utah’s crazy alcohol laws. That is all.

Agree wholeheartedly.
I’m getting tired of the home crowd getting a chance to make a mocking cheer when the first foul on the visiting team is finally called 7-8 minutes into the game.

That baby that won the baby race came out of nowhere like a turbo rocket!! That was awesome.
We have two more games for someone to hit the half court shot…

I am against it. Please see my post in “On civility”.
I like that people are required to read the body of a post to truly get the point of the poster.
I understand where @rbmw263 is coming from, and from his paradigm I think it’s a reasonable request. I just feel that the side effect could be detrimental to the board.

leftyjace replied to the topic On civility in the forum Comments and Suggestions 7 years, 9 months ago
Interestingly enough, I feel that the format of this board lends itself to more civil discourse.
With the old digs, most people were limited to a small number of characters to get a point across. Mostly because any post that was quite long people didn’t pay much attention to… the “headline” element of the previous board lent itself to skimming.…[Read more]
