Personally, I think we should focus on getting more points than BYU. If we do that, I feel fairly confident we will win the game.

I’m OK with an easy game against San Jose.
BYU is going to be brutal emotionally and quite possibly physically.
Give us a week to “coast” (not that Whit would allow coasting) before taking on USC.

Oh ya… dang it… Tony, I was going to try to stop by this Saturday at your tailgate, but my son is going with me to the game (ultra-conservative LDS Ute fan, go figure). So the tailgate lot makes him slightly uncomfortable. NEXT TIME THOUGH!!! USC game!!!! Unless my son goes to that one also… 🙂

I face a similar situation, though the mix here is probably 50/50. One thing I’ve noticed is that if I’m nice, and take a few minutes and compliment their team and tell them I think it’ll be a good game, it seems to disarm the animals.

UCLA got beaten by a decent team. USC got beaten by a more than decent team. Arizona… well, that’s the interesting one.

That way we don’t have 60 new threads with everyone’s thoughts on the game. It’s also a nice central place for people to discuss expectations previous to the game, and to post thoughts during the game.

I agree with cbmute. Too loud. Nice and clear sound system, massive improvement. But the announcer was so enthused to be hearing himself so clearly and at such a high volume that he overspoke the ref a few times and was quite obnoxious at others. I agree, just turn it down – the system is great, no need to blow everyone away.
