I have no issue being in the Big 12 but I do miss the rivalry that was developed with USC. I have a lot of coworkers who are USC fans and that created a lot of fun at work over the years.

Haven’t we all accepted that this season may have exposed one or two issues within the program? It is the roller coaster ride of being a sports fan. Like many of you I will still watch the Colorado game and hope for the unexpected.

That shows a lot of character and super cool to read. Hopefully that attitude permeates the team and someway, somehow find a win in the next three games.

Whittingham sounds pretty down in this. It is a reminder that as frustrated as we are on the season none of our frustration can compare to his.

It is going to be ugly. Colorado still has a lot of play for. Utah, not much. I hope to be surprised but I have extremely low expectations for the rest of the season.

I have heard a couple of BYU fans I know use the phrase “Season of Destiny” for BYU’s season. They haven’t liked when I asked them how BYU will do against Georgia in the CFP.

At this point it would be great if somehow ASU and Colorado played for the Big 12 championship just to piss off BYU and the rest of the Big 12.

Just another example of don’t believe the hype until the results show on the field. Feels like that is the theme of Utah football the last two seasons.

I am sure the NIL collective for Utah will approach their NIL payouts differently after the Cam NIL debacle. As I read on another thread Cam’s NIL is like a reward for job well done for the two Pac 12 conference championships.

We are feeling a down year of football after having a lot of up years. Utah will be back.

I am hoping Rose balls out! If the offense can score more than 20 points a game Utah has a shot in every game the rest of the season. Hopefully the team rallies behind him and he plays good enough. It seems like almost every CFB and NFL game you watch somebody gets injured and leaves the game.

Those are very interesting points.

It is the rivalry. Fans of each school will question and probably hate anything that gives the rival school a real or perceived advantage. There are probably Utah fans who hate the Utah Hockey Club only because Ryan Smith owns it and brought it to Utah. I am a big fan of the Utah Hockey Club!

Very tempting to have Rising come back but considering he has never finished a season of college football it is no from me. Everything should be on the table to at this point for a change. Utah has nothing to lose by trying something completely new. The way the season has gone most fans wouldn’t be surprised if Utah ends up 4-8.

I was one of the fans who wanted Barnes gone. At the time I think many of us, me included, assumed Rising would come back at full strength and do what he did in 2021 and 2022. How many Ute fans didn’t drink that kool-aid?

3rd time is the charm for the season? Utah hasn’t won a night game at RES yet this year.

Building a game plan around Huard might be a way to change things up but does it feel desperate at this point?

With a tiny improvement on offense Utah wouldn’t be in a 3 game losing streak. I am optimistic for the next 5 games.
