I heard from a UCLA fan that they are hearing rumor of JD committing to Utah this weekend because DTR at UCLA starting as freshman. THE 247 prediction hasn’t been updated in some time.

I get worried about all of them. This should be the easiest game left on the schedule, but I still remember the loss to CU the first year in the Pac when Utah could have gone to the CCG if they had won.

Takeaway is that you cannot overlook anyone in this league, and Utah has no gimmies left on their schedule ( other than last game of the year, which is OOC ).

Since it is relegated to the P12 network, would have liked an afternoon game. Does anyone else miss Saturday afternoon games?

I recall people clamoring for Gary Anderson and Sitake as replacements for Whitt the past few years, how is that looking now?
Thinking Utah can easily get someone better to replace Whitt is silly. I love the Utes trajectory, I expect some big things in the next few years now that they seem to have an offense they will stick with ( I hope ), and will have Huntley as an upperclassman followed by the Tuttle era.

No one is saying he didn’t give it his all, or failed to do something he should have. Sometimes, you do your best and just get beat out by someone who is better.

Troy seems like a stand up guy, and I will be very happy if he sticks with the team. I wish him the best, whatever he choses to do.

I always have faith that Utah’s defense will be somewhere from good to elite. Even with all the turnover this year, have no reason to change my view there. The offense will determine how well this team does. If this OC is a homerun hire, then the sky is the limit ( although, it probably would also mean that he would be fairly short tenured and moving on to an HC job in the next few years ). If not, we will have more of the same, 6-9 wins, which is not awful, just can be a bit frustrating that the team is so close to being an elite program.

I can only really comment on players I have watched, which would start in the Jerry Pimm era.

      Starters:
      G – Jeff Jonas
      G – Andre Miller
      F – Danny Vranes
      F – Keith Van Horn
      C – Andrew Bogut

      Second team
      G – Delon Wright
      G – Jeff Judkins
      F – Josh Grant
      F – Tom Chambers
      C – Mike Doleac

Not to be “that guy”, but the Massey ratings having Utah as the favorites in the rest of their games is not the same as projecting that they go 10-2. If you are a 51-49 favorite in every game, you would be projected to finish around .500, not to go undefeated. If you believe the percentages Massey has for Utah, they would project Utah going 8-4.
