Survive and advance bro. Survive and advance. It doesn’t matter how they got it done. All that matters is that they got it done and didn’t lose like they did for the past four years. They could have been BYU and lost their 12-point half time lead against their opponent from Washington. But they didn’t. THEY WON THE GAME. THAT’S LITERALLY ALL THAT MATTERS.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Tyler Huntley is getting a lot of well deserved publicity in the forum Football 5 years ago
I agree with you actually. Huntley has a higher QBR than Marcus Mariota did in 2014 and he won the Heisman.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic UCLA is going to be a much tougher game than I thought in the forum Football 5 years ago
I think Utah wins by 3 TD’s. My prediction is 38-17.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic How bad is Huntley injury? How healthy will he be – 75%? 90%? Paging OnlyU. in the forum Football 5 years ago
Well, that’s where Jason Shelley comes in. I think Ludwig’s game plan to not run Huntley and use Shelley as the runner when needed was absolutely brilliant. I expect Huntley to be healthier this week though. However, that being said, I really really like the Shelley package. He’s basically the Wildcat back right now. Also remember that it was…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic #9 in AP in the forum Football 5 years ago
I doubt Utah has any chance of getting into the playoffs without winning the Pac-12. However, if USC does win out and makes it to the championship game, I think Utah is a lock for an NY6 bowl game @ 11-1. Most likely of those being probably the Cotton Bowl. If Utah wins out, they’ll be in the Top 6 I think before the championship games. There’s no…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic 108-10 against October teams….say WHAT!??!! in the forum Football 5 years ago
This is the best defense I’ve seen from a Utah team in my lifetime. I thought they were excellent last year. This year they are truly elite. Like, historically elite. It’s nearly impossible for the opposition to handle them at this point. Other than like Ohio State and Auburn, Utah legitimately has the best defense in college football. They are…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic ESPN has UW with a 53% chance to win in the forum Football 5 years ago
I feel far more confident going into this game than I did the USC game. That’s because Utah has hit their stride and Washington has been proven to not be as good as they were last year. I think Utah wins because Utah’s defense is just astoundingly good right now. They’re going to shut UW’s offense down. And the Huskies struggle to stop the run.…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Full AP Poll in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Well, they will have more opportunities to move up because several teams in the current to ten play each other, guaranteeing one of them has to lose. Alabama plays both of LSU and Auburn. Auburn plays Alabama and Georgia. Georgia has to play Auburn and Florida. Ohio State plays Penn State. Notre Dame still has to play @ Michigan, which is a likely…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Personally I think you let Huntley sit Cal out. in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
No, that only applies if the two teams are playing on a Thursday night game.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic If you told me we would have four turnovers tonight in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
That’s the only reason it was even that close. Utah would have won by four or five scores without the turnovers.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic USC looked good tonight. in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Um, call me crazy, but I still think that USC loses at least two more games. I think they lose to Oregon and they lose at Arizona State. And of course they looked good. They were playing at home. They are undefeated in the Coliseum and winless on the road.
-
Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Nope. Don’t like that. in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Yeah, but Utah is better than all three of those teams.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic 11 Reasons Why (*Barring Injuries*) The Utes Are Going 11-1: in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Only if Utah loses again. Remember, tiebreakers only matter if you are TIED. Utah overcame losing the two team tiebreaker to ASU last year and found a way to win the division. They are perfectly capable of doing the same this year.

Not tired. I’m up every night at this time Plus I’m re-watching the game on Pac-12 Network.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic So trap game, huh? in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Yeah. It was a trap game for Oregon State. They were looking forward to their big match up with Cal next week. They overlooked the Utes. Yada Yada Yada.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic My hopes for the PAC12 this weekend in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
I actually want ASU to have the best record possible (other than us beating them next week). This is because I want them to be a factor if there is a three-team tie for the South. If we beat ASU, and ASU then beats USC in Tempe on November 9th, all three teams would have lost on the road against one and beaten the other at home. Wouldn’t that…[Read more]

They didn’t. The Pac-12 Networks had the second choice of games next week.
