Canada scares me less than the Canadian military does.

Utah’s the FAR SUPERIOR program presently. Like, more than Ohio State is superior to Michigan. Utah simply is better and will win because of it. Utah’s more athletic, deeper, and simply more talented, which makes sense due to our superior recruiting and coaching. I like Utah to win 35-10.

My prediction is that Utah beats BYU BADLY next week. Like, by more than two touchdowns. We are just way more talented right now than they are. Even if BYU somehow pulls off the huge upset @ LSU, I still think Utah wins.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic What do you think your expectations are for this season ?? in the forum Football 7 years, 2 months ago
I don’t know if I’d call it an expectation, but my prediction is that Utah goes at least 10-2 this season.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Sitake wins ugly game, no turnovers, solid defense, mediocre offense. in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
I wonder if BYU was overlooking PSU with LSU on the horizon next week? I actually kinda want them to somehow beat LSU, because it’ll make our victory over them in Rice-Eccles Stadium South just that more impressive. Especially since all the local media will say is that this is the year that BYU finally beats Utah.

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic Oregon State @ Colorado St in the forum Football 7 years, 3 months ago
I disagree. I think they could beat Arizona too. Tucson’s a friggin’ dumpster fire right now on the football field. However, remember when Utah beat the bloody crap out of Colorado State in the 2014 Vegas Bowl? Good times uh?

I honestly don’t have a farving clue who it is going to be. My money would be on Williams though.

I say 10-2 with our only two losses @ USC and @ Washington.

Valpo did beat both BYU and Alabama during the regular season (both are NIT teams).

Only because the Hunty was being renovated at that time. Had they waited to start the renovation, Utah would have been the home team because they were the higher seed. I forsee a different result this time around.

Don’t shame on the NIT. It is a VERY GOOD TOURNAMENT. Unless you are one of the top programs in the country, you aren’t going to make the NCAA Tournament every year (the Kansas’s, North Carolina’s, and Duke’s of the world). Hell, freaking Syracuse, who made it to the Final Four last year, is in the NIT this year. The NCAA runs the NIT. It’s not…[Read more]

Matthew Thomas Castleton replied to the topic 4th seed? in the forum Basketball (Men) 7 years, 8 months ago
How would that work? Is it because Utah only played Arizona once and Cal lost to Arizona twice?
That can’t be it. It’s WINNING PERCENTAGE against a team, not record. 0-1 and 0-2 are the same record percentage-wise because they’re both zero percent. It’s the same if you are 2-0 vs. 1-0. Both records are both 100 percent, so, there is no…[Read more]

The result of this game coupled with Colorado’s victory over Stanford actually makes the game between Utah and Stanford on Saturday technically meaningless as per the final conference standings/Pac-12 Tournament seeds. All that matters now is the result between Colorado and Cal. If Colorado wins (making Cal 10-8 in Pac-12 play), Utah would clinch…[Read more]

Reply All: All of you are speaking like a bunch of Pac12 haters. [edit: No… you are thinking like a MWC member]
Folks are talking about the Big10 being a 7 bid league. Well, that would include two currently 9-7 teams in a league with only two teams in the top 25, #16 Purdue & #22 Wisconsin. Michigan’s best win is against then #2 UCLA and bas…
