McBride of Frankenstein started the topic utah recruiting versus oregon, washington, uscd in the forum Football 4 years, 11 months ago
Will you be known forever?
If you are on the team that wins the Rosebowl for Utah, you will always be known. Even after you die. If you are the USC, Oregon, Washington team that wins that same rose bow….. “hey, good job. thanks”. This is the power of building a program and knowing YOU built it.
I will always know the UTES that win…[Read more] -
McBride of Frankenstein started the topic The power of the long view in the forum Football 4 years, 11 months ago
The history of Utah football has crests and valleys, but the long-term trajectory has been positive. When we suffer a setback like the Oregon loss, I think back about where we were, where we are, and the fact that change takes time. Where are we now? We just won the south division back to back. 4 years ago, what would you have given for that…[Read more]

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic Bam? in the forum Football 5 years ago
When will we see Bam next? Any word on his injury? He didn’t look ‘in the know’ last week, but he did look BIG. More like he needs to learn. Experience teaches….

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic Bam's 4 games? in the forum Football 5 years, 1 month ago
Which 4 games do you use to play Olaseni (if he redshirts)? Personally, I’d pick 3 and hold 1 for the PAC-12 Champ game (just in case) or until/if we are eliminated from that possibility.
ASU, UW, and…. Colorado -

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic History lesson: lots of players left Majerus' teams (pre transfer portal) in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 3 months ago
A lot of players left Majerus’ teams through the years. The man was demanding and not always in the best way. Yet we revere him and his accomplishments (rightly so). Today, Coach K has to deal with the transfer portal. I.e., the average number of transfers is much higher today across the country than it was back in the Majerus era. How much…[Read more]

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic Utes new football commit. Amazing measurables! in the forum Football 5 years, 5 months ago
Ben Renfro looks like really promising. 4.45 second 40-yard dash, 295-pound power clean, and a 3.93 second shuttle time. The fact he has been a reciever means he knows that side of the ball and can be a real interception threat.
Looks like a diamond in the rough. Utah has a way of finding these guys and developing…[Read more] -
McBride of Frankenstein started the topic More background on Juarez in the forum Football 5 years, 6 months ago
I’m worried about his health as I am sure he is and everyone. Here is an article of interest on that:

“After working through the concussion protocol, which includes different exercises that increase in intensity and must be…[Read more] -

Olineman in the spring at WSU, via 247’s WSU homepage:
“Before Osur-Myers missed the last three practices, he was the top performer on the second-string offensive line this spring, according to CF.C beat writer Braden Johnson”
“He was the most consistent guy on that No. 2 o-line at right guard,” says Johnson. “Being on the second-string…[Read more] -
McBride of Frankenstein started the topic Double U vs Drum and Feathers in the forum Football 5 years, 7 months ago
So are you all seeing this? There is a slow burn move from the Drum and feathers logo to the double U logo. Me personally I like it. Two questions 1) are you seeing this like I am that it is a concerted movement?, 2) what do you think?

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic transfer portal: what does it tell us? UCLA? in the forum Football 5 years, 8 months ago
The transfer portal is something to get used to and may be a metric to gauge the health of a program? Utah has 6 in the portal. UCLA has 15! What does this tell us about UCLA football?

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic Coach K killed it this season in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 8 months ago
Who Utah lost to this year very much does matter!
A season is the body of work, not the last game. Lets remember: Utah finished 3rd. 3rd. really 3RD in the Pac despite relying heavily on freshmen. 3rd of 12 in the pac-12.
I does truly suck immensely to lose in the quarterfinals 3rd year in a row. However, it is definitely noteworthy that…[Read more] -

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic south end zone in the forum Football 5 years, 9 months ago
amazing no media source actually explored this, but does anyone find it interesting that magically the height of the current south end zone scoreboard fits perfectly into the design of the proposed south end zone even though the scoreboard was put in place about two years before the announcement? Not a big issue, but I think administration knew…[Read more]

McBride of Frankenstein started the topic A legacy of Urban Meyer for Coach K to consider? in the forum Basketball (Men) 5 years, 9 months ago
First, I am a HUGE Coach K guy (and not just today).
Second, I know (but can’t explain it) that basketball live attendance is down across the nation…..
Urban launched/ branded the MUSS. Where is the muss at MensBB games? I was in the pep band in the Majerus era and I could have never predicted that in the Pac-12 era with a good coach…[Read more] - Load More
