Not sure where to rank Rising given he didn’t play last year. All I know is he’s our MVP and is going to lead us to our 3rd Conference Championship and CFP appearance. So for those reasons, I’d rank him in the Top 10 with anyone else in the country. Go Utes!!

Kids like Britain Covey and Lander Barton wouldn’t have left Utah for a big payday. I’m not saying this Myles kid is the same. But there’s typically a stronger tie to SLC for the local kids.

I feel the exact same. Getting ISU at home has me confident that game is a W. But UCF poses challenges that could easily turn into a WTF L IMO.

Yes, because Utah’s schedule is the most favorable of any team in the B12. Utah is not going to lose at home this year. That leaves Oklahoma St, Colorado, and UCF as the 3 biggest road games. I think our red throwbacks look the best. I like our all-red uniforms but want to see Utah ditch the two-tone sleeves for red sleeves that still incorporate the stripe. That would make them perfect IMO.

Mentioned earlier in the thread that I like the mountain themed names given it’s a winter sport, namely: 1) Blizzard, 2) Storm, 3) Freeze

And then go with a mountain animal that’s native to Utah as the mascot, such as Moose or Elk/Stage.

Yea I hear ya. I just think it’s a wasted opportunity when the name/mascot doesn’t have some type of tie to the local community. But whatever…nothing I’ll lose any sleep over.

Since RS says he’s going to decide the team name by online fan vote, I too think it’s going to end up being the Yeti. That seems to be the name that has generated the most interest from fans. And I’m sure the Zoobs will especially Jimmer the votes for Yeti.
