I once had a coach who said we had to play well enough that the game wasn’t in the hands of the ref. But I don’t think he could have envisioned the PAC-12 officiating. That requires maintaining a 3 score lead….

Massey’s approach has limited relevance in early season, unless you believe that past season final ranking is a good indicator of current season performance. Explosive opponent with big play talent,
Utah starts slow, down early in big plays,
Has to play catch up, gets pass heavy,
We lose our ball control, run-you-over identity

Agree on the spots. Not sure how much it was poor defense or difficult to defend o. They left their DBs in man coverage, and the ball was out quick. Will agree that Burrow felt little pressure, and that hurt Texas.
