Houston has a good defense. They almost beat Oklahoma on the road early in the year. All the supposed G5 big 12 additions are doing fairly well in P4 football. You guys lucked out 3 times in 2008. Your 2004 team was the best in the nation.

Washington was invited to the Holiday Bowl I. 84 and refused. They beat Byu they would have been #1, but they chose money in the Orange Bowl and a blue blood opponent in oklahoma. Byu could have very well beat Washington, and in fact spanked them 31-3 in the 3rd game of 85 season.

Doubt this has anything to do with trying to get into the P2. BYU is happy where they are, which is a helluva lot better than Indy or MW/wac years. However, this can’t hurt.

This coming from the resident ex mormon zoob fan. They have so much money they need to do something useful with it.

I’d e shocked if we got Florida St and Clemson to the XII. Just think they have better options, but this is gaining major traction by respected journalists so who knows.
