  • Good lord, what a ridiculous statement. BYU was terribke last year. I am saying OK state struggled with them as well as a shitty G5 team, stressing the fact they weren’t that good. I was inferring that Utah will be better than them.

Take a compliment that I was giving yiur team for eff’s sake.

  • There will never be a Power 2 that is limited to 40 teams. The P4 could break odd into their own division 1, but it will include ALL the current power teams, plus several more like Washington St and Oregon St, Boise St, SDSU, Memphis. I’d put the number around 80 teams.

If you make it too few teams, yiu are going to lose ratings. Even if I’m…[Read more]

  • Oklahoma State wasn’t that good last year. Sure, they had a decent record, but they lost to a bad G5 team at home early in the season.

BYU had them dead to rights until they got conservative in the second half and played not to lose, and still it took a byu fumble in double overtime for OK st to win.

  • Even if no NIL, a MW job is never better than a Big 12 job. Jay can succeed at BYU. He’s a much better coach than Kalani.

  • Just heard it’s Sean OC O’Connell. He is very good. Loved when him and Hans were on in the mornings at the old 1280.

  • Gonna miss Bill, even though he will still be calling games. He was a nice alternative to the zone when all they talk is the Jazz.

  • Wow, Bovee was the fb coach and athletic director at Weber earlier in his career. Sounds pretty bad. Hope they don’t take Hill from BYU, but I could see Jay being successful in logan. Maybe they bring back Matt Wells.

  • What is the issue with blake anderson? We know why Gary Anderson was let go. Could this be something similar?

  • As the resident zoob fan on here, that’s about where I expect BYU to finish. We play the top 5 teams, so brutal schedule. They need to win their home games if they have any chance of winning 4 conference games. Who knows, maybe I’ll be surprised like the basketball season when we were picked 13 and finished 5th.

Utah is definitely top 3, but…[Read more]

You guys will only play 1 game on espn plus, and that is SUU. All the big 12 games will be on a major cable channel if not on big FOX or ABC.

ESPN plus is great. You can see just about any game from weber st, suu, Dixie if you are into following local schools.

Don’t miss your team play for 10 bucks a month.

  • Thank you. I thought it may have been something related to that.. Probably played a role in his USU firing.

If you don’t get espn plus, you will miss 80% of your basketball games. When I first subscribed it was only $5.99, but they keep jacking up the rates.

Still, at 10.99 it’s worth it if you love your team. I just pause it after basketball season and then turn it back on when football starts.

As a zoob fan, I didn’t think I would like ESPN +, but it has been great. You will only have one football game on it, which will be your fcs opponent, SUU. All your other games will be on one of the following: ESPN ESPN 2, Fox, ABC, FS1.

BYU had a lot of basketball games on espn plus, but the quality was very good for the most part. ByU will…[Read more]

  • Unless you are in the SEC or big 10, stadiums that get refurbished are getting less capacity with nicer seating. Like ASU. No doubt Utah could fill a 60k seat stadium. I just don’t see it going that direction.

My team down south needs some serious stadium upgrades, per B12 brass. They put in a new grass field this year. A nice big screen in…[Read more]

  • I have heard that Gary Anderson has some major issues in his personal life, but I’ve never heard what the issues were. Anyone that know care to elaborate without getting too personal?

And yes, he was a fool to leave Wisconsin. I am glad to have him in a limited role at BYU. Kalani is so disorganized, he could use someone like Gary. Jay Hill has…[Read more]

  • I made the comment to emphasize the BYU overall fanbase is much larger than Utah’s. Just annoyed by the arrogance of your fan base when it came to being invited by another power conference and to not appreciate the life line thrown so they didn’t end up like WSU and OSU.

I am actually supportive of Utah being back in the same league as byu…[Read more]

  • As a BYU fan I’ve always preferred Utah’s unis to ours. However, I like the simple Utah uniforms. All red at home, and red pants, white jerseys on road. Always with the classic red helmet with white facemask and drum and feather logo.

The black jerseys bug me. Hate when byu wears them. With the modern fabrics, byu royal jerseys with white…[Read more]

  • Haha, yesterday I had just coke home from a dental appointment (root canal) so I wasn’t in the best frame of mind. I appreciate your willingness to reevaluate my potential contributions here. I have browsed this board since it was founded buy have rarely posted until yesterday.

I think I’m shaddow banned on CB. Too many pro Utah takes I guess.

This… he ensured the jazz stay here. I have not been a big fan of what Ryan Smith has done as owner. The rebrand was ugly and a massive fail. The tanking after 2/3 of the season is over doesnt make sense. And Danny Ainge thinking he can do in Utah what he did in Boston is delusional.

But Smith can put his money where he wants. He didn’t…[Read more]

  • Haha, back in the late 80s, my dad called my brother and I Utes because we would watch all the Utah games (of course, secondary to byu games) because we knew a few Utah players from our high school. Back in the Jim Fassel years. Yeah, I’m getting old. Will turn 54 in September.

I really didn’t mean to start a big poop storm yesterday. There…[Read more]
