I actually agree with you Tony. I typically have tried to keep things fairly civil on here being a zoob fan, but today I got involved with some childish back and forth.

I’m happy with the results of last nights game, but if BYU would have lost the same way, I would have been livid.

In any case, hope your team puts a beating on Colorado next week and then ISU the week after.

You guys played just as many or more late games in the P12, since all the league besides you and Colorado were in the Pacific time zone. Secondly, you are underestimating BYU. The rivalry intensity was the difference last night. BYU went on the road and boat raced UCF. Lets see you guys do that and then we can talk. You guys are going to mail it in the next 3 games. Colorado will pound you, as they have a lot to play for. ISU needs the wins to stay a contender for the Big 12 championship game, and UCF on the road 2 time zones away.

I honestly hope you guys win out, but mentally I think your team is spent.

It would have to be some kind of court order, like with child support. I don’t see that happening in a case like this.

I really hope you guys get your wish of the rebuilt p12. What a step down it would be. It would be the dumbest move any school has ever made. The big 12 basketball was the most fun basketball season I have experienced since I was a teen in the 80s with the old WAC. But this conference has 8 top 25 teams.

Like I said earlier, give me Boise in place of you. Hell, I bet Washington State would gladly trade places with you. They are 8-1. I’ll gladly take them

Yep, even in the 80s. Few games were nationally televised back then, but if they were, tv dictated the kickoff time. I had season tickets in newly expanded Cougar Stadium in 1982 and for years the games started at 1:30 pm. Then later in the early 90s they moved it to Noon. Night games were rare for BYU.

I remember Utah playing quite a few night games through mid to late october. But tv didn’t dictate things back then. If you want the huge money payouts from being in a big boy conference, you have to put up with this.

I myself now prefer the 8:15 pm kickoff times. For one, we seem to play better late at night, and two, I can watch all the other great games earlier in the day and get some yard and housework done earlier in the day.

I have watched EVERY BYU season since 1979 and this one isn’t in my top 10 as far as how good we are. However, we are getting the breaks this season, much like you guys did in 2008. I know it hurts to lose that way. You guys dominated the game on both sides of the ball. I am just saying you guys are emotional out of a heart breaking loss and that you really don’t prefer to be in a crappy conference with Utah State, Colorado State, SDSU, and Fresno. Boise will dominate the new P12.
