UPDATE: I did some sql queries and found there were another 380 records that needed to be fixed. Damn you, bots… So now all 380 have been “fixed.” I hope this means that nobody else will have this issue. Can I get a confirmation or two from someone? That would be great.

I may have to do a major wipe of the message system if there are many more that have the issue, rather than playing whack-a-mole.

Thanks @tedlasso I appreciate the comment. There are many aspects to running this board that I didn’t anticipate: trolls, spam, bots, DDoS attacks.

Ok I’ve reset the unread count on you two’s messages. Let me know if that fixed the issue. And if anyone else has a new message notification but no new messages then you are in the same boat. LMK.

This may be remnants of the bot that sent out a bunch of messages. I attempted to delete all the messages and notifications, but may have missed some. I’ll try to clean this up for you guys. If anyone else has this issue let me know.

I’m very excited to watch Barton play this season. If he stays healthy he will be a beast.

Ok I’ve changed some other settings in an attempt to fix the login issue. Please clear your cookies and re-login. Then let’s see what happens. I think perhaps the reason it doesn’t happen to some users like me, is we are logged in and hitting the site more often. Users that aren’t doing that may not be refreshing the cookies. I wonder if some people are somehow switching between http and https. Please look at the URL in the browser when you are “logged in” and then compare it to when you’re “logged out.” Also if you do have this issue and you can REPEAT the steps to make it happen, ping me and I’d like to do a zoom meeting with you!

Are you saying you logged in and you were automatically logged out? Not quite understanding. If you could clarify that would be great. Also everyone should check your browser’s cookie policies and such as related to Ute Hub.

I made some changes which may help. Won’t know until I hear from some of you. Let me know.

If there are issues definitely let me know. Otherwise I may not be aware of them. There may be settings in each person’s browser with regards to login settings etc. So perhaps resetting anything to do with UteHub.com might help.
