Sounds like Calhoun is back practicing along with Pittman. I doubt either plays on Thursday (won’t need them), but it would be great to have them available as soon as next Saturday, if needed. Calhoun may take a bit longer though.

Also great to see the b10 and sec get 3-4 teams each into the playoffs, while the acc and b12 teams get mostly 1 each (a couple at-large). Sigh. That didn’t take long to start the narrative.

Ya. Everyone knows it’s the first one to 35 points. (Referencing Utah vs byu in the Vegas bowl where it only took us 1 quarter to get up 35-0, and then we eased up on the gas.)

As long as he doesn’t break anything, I feel like at this point in Cam’s career we know how he’ll respond to getting hit (insert image here of Cam’s helmet flying off at the USC championship game, and 2nd image of the final score).

It was just a 5/10 CB though, so basically either Iowa or Utah which we already knew. And then it was taken down. Not sure what to read into that.

The downside though is that QB2 also needs live game reps and if Wilson is scout team QB, he’s probably not getting game reps. So which is more valuable?

1) 20% practice reps as QB2 and some live game reps (likely/hopefully mostly in 4th qtr garbage time); or

2) 80-100% of scout team reps? Mind you that scout team reps won’t be running our system, but rather impersonating our weekly opponent’s system.

My gut says that #1 is still a better foundation to build on.

It’s about percentages. A 5 ⭐️ is more developed than a 4 ⭐️ and is more likely to come in and contribute early. Are there 5 ⭐️ busts? Sure, but not as many as 4 or 3.

If Myles comes to Utah it’s because he wants to be here and the coaches want him here. So why would you prefer to take 2 other players that also want to be here over him? Would you prefer to take 2 Brandon Roses over 1 Cam?

Myles knows the program and coaching staff well. He’s visited countless times and would fit right in. If we air it out this year, and if Wilson earns the #2 job, my prediction is that Myles commits in December becoming the first 5 star to sign at the U!
