Without penalties and mistakes, our game would have been similar to this. Not quite this dominant, but it would have been 3-4 score win. 

Oh nice, didn’t realize that. Yeah that sucks for them. Feels like you shouldn’t have to go on the road on a short week when the home team has extra time to prepare. 

I think we still win, just feels like it’s a big scheduling advantage for zona.

He was good. I was actually super impressed with Casey Hughes and boobi last night. Maybe BYU will make all opposing DBs look good but I was worried about both of those guys going into the season and so far I feel like they’ve played really well. I can see why whitt praised this unit so much in fall camp. 

Last night I felt like BYU had sustained a humiliating enough beat down that they wouldn’t recover, but now I feel more in line with this. I’ve rarely seen an FCS team get dominated the way BYU did tonight. I think LSU wins a close one, but things are setting up very well for BYU. LSU may be a top 15-10 team come end of season, but they are dealing with a ton of turnover and on top of that have a bunch of expected starters and contributors out for this game. It felt like in the third quarter once the O-line settled in we realized we could just run all over them and ran the same 2-3 run plays pretty much the rest of the game. Didn’t show a whole lot in the 2nd half.

You’re a confident fellow Utah, and I respect you for that. I view North Dakota as the equivalent of a team that would win 7-9 games in the MWC. A rung below the MWC champ who is typically a top 25 team, but much better than Fresno/New Mexico/USU. They didn’t look very great, but I would argue we looked just as bad against southern Utah last year. I think it’s hard to get much out of week 1 games against fcs opponents. The one area that I thought was telling was how ineffective they were throwing the ball. My counter to this would be that Taylor coached Cooper Kupp last year, the most dominant receiver in FCS history, and he continued to get open time and time again. Much of that I’m sure can be attributed to Kupp, but also I think it’s a good sign that Taylor is able to scheme for his best players to get open.

This is a terrible take. He was a gioni Paul-esque player for BYU laist year. He covered Troy McCormick down the sideline last year to make one handed interception just fine. This would be an awesome pickup. I’m quite skeptical of the source though. Terrell Williams is not a reporter, just someone that likes to try and hang with a bunch of BYU players. He’s been wrong on many things before. I hope he’s right, but I’ll wait for something more official before I get my hopes up.

He’s really good. In my opinion he’s as good or better than luafatasaga and a ways better than tauteoli. With us graduating both those guys this year, this would be a huge pickup for the defense next year.

I’d rather a guy who sounds like he could be a great player for the next four years be a guy that pulled a knife in self defense rather than someone that instigated a fight and stabbed a teammate. I’d like to think something along these lines is accurate. I’m willing to give him a chance for sure, just caught me a little off guard when I heard that. Between him and carrington, seems like the staff is willing to take a few more chances on guys as of late.
