The ’18 class is the best we’ve had in a LONG time (I think ’15 or ’16 was rated higher, but just barely). Lots of upside and really talented players across the board. Two kids coming in the backcourt that should contribute immediately and probably the most exciting SF prospect we’ve had in a while in Timmy Allen.

Casey Hughes is transferring away from Utah. The senior corner was poised to play a big role in the secondary for the Utes. This may mean the depth chart is getting crowded with the DBs. @ESPN700

There’s risk in the hire – sure. But it’s mitigated by the fact that he’s not running the show. It’s still Kyle’s program.

And, risk or not, I don’t know who else we could have got as the 10th assistant that would be a better hire.

We only graduated ~20 scholarship seniors. Added Mika Tafua and Sione Lund. Tafua is on scholly now and won’t count toward the 20 available

Chayden Johnston. Top 3 kicker coming out of HS. They were neck and neck coming out of camp and Johnston blew that first kick. He’ll be alright, but it’s good we get Gay back for another year. Crazy he went from walk-on backup to national award winner
