NarfUte replied to the topic 11th rated offense going into next season in the forum Football 5 months ago
It’s for the EA game, which means the rating is a composite of the offensive player ratings not production. Colorado is high likely because Sanders and Hunter are very highly rated in the game

People normally complain that we don’t get any commits in June- so which is it? Also, we will see ratings bumps on some of these guys…

So far it’s only SUU, there are 7 other games that could be ESPN+. Hopefully if we’re winning that number stays low

I don’t know if it’s immediate or an hour or what, but I’ve never had an issue being able to watch a game when I’ve needed to. And no extra ads, you just need to skip through the normal commercial breaks as if you’ve DVR’ed the game.

You can’t record on ESPN+ but you can “rewind” live events. So you could join at half time and back it up to the beginning of the game etc… Also, after the event the broadcast turns to “on demand” as if you had recorded it – Not sure how long they stay up but it is at least a few weeks

NarfUte replied to the topic What I’d like to see (hear) in the forum Football 5 months, 1 week ago
It was just poorly executed/ thought out – They wheeled out a giant taiko (called red thunder) drum at the 3-4th quarter break (After the AD killed off the Crazy Lady ‘tradition’ circa 2013) trying to get the crowd involved with clapping to the beat of the drum. It never worked and was always a mess.
Here is video evidence of how bad it…[Read more]

No, the taiko drum is a black mark on Dr. Hill’s reputation

We don’t have enough giant Japanese drums playing at halftime

NarfUte replied to the topic Stanford making moves to be more Transfer Portal friendly in the forum Football 5 months, 2 weeks ago
Stanford will admit any kid that can pass the clearinghouse out of high school but assesses them based on if they think they can stay eligible, which is why they have to focus on HS recruiting. Where Stanford becomes Stanford is for transfers trying to be admitted to undergrad degree programs and graduate programs, separate from the clearinghouse.…[Read more]

I think outside of a service that covers ESPN/FS1 we should just need ESPN+. Cbs sn should only be the USU game

That’s the article that Utah Athletics posted, the PAC-12 website just regurgitates it and it wasn’t deleted when the Utah Athletics article was deleted.

They WANT to be a basketball school and are putting resources to try to be, but aren’t yet. Utah has a more recent NCAA tourney win than them… Who knows if this gamble pays off – The new coach could suck donkey balls as an NCAA HC (Remember Boylen was very highly regarded as an NBA asst.)

NarfUte replied to the topic More outstanding exposure for Utah’s brand! in the forum Football 6 months ago
Tier 1 is 6+ AP top 25 finishes in the last decade, Tier 2 is 2-5, Tier 3 is 1, Tier 4 is 0.
Also, the three longest tenured coaches are in tier 1 showing remarkable consistency – Kirk Ferentz, Mike “I’m a man” Gundy, and Whitt.
