I’m not an X’s and O’s guy so I have to look for other methods to predict our win. When I came out of the gym this morning there was a BMW parked next to me with a Ute Mom sticker on it. It may not seem significant to all of you But since this was in Nashville I’m taking it as a good omen and none of you can change my mind.

This would be a nice stat to have to know which games are most in play each week for upsets, etc. this week, for example, seems to only offer a couple of games that are interesting. Does anyone have any special insight on how our punting game is going to be this season? Tom Hackett is going to be tough to replace. Many of our games are dictated by the field position game, and Hackett played an integral role in that. How’s this Wishnowski kid looking? Will he have Hackett’s same level of accuracy? This could be huge.

I go back and forth. One minute I think we’re gonna win the whole damned thing, then I go back to thinking we’ll be fighting to hang on to #3 in the division.

If we start 4-0 I’ll feel pretty good about our chances. If we don’t beat USC at home I think we’re unlikely to take the South.

While I agree with those who say it’s detrimental to have polls so early, I can’t help but eagerly anticipate them every year.

I think one of the biggest problems with the polls is that voters don’t readjust their votes soon enough after they find out that the preseason picks were way off.
