i don’t think whit can play GM and coach. the NIL arrangement is not in his bag of tricks. at the beginning of this year, if you told me i was calling for whit to step down, i WOULD LAUGH IN YOUR FACE. however, what has happened is a disaster and it’s on his watch. the qb position has been a problem in the past and here we are again. now with all the x’s and o’s coupled with NIL, this is more than whit is capable of handling. the game is not just being a coach any more and it requires a tremendous amount of “what if” planning. i don’t think whit is cut out for the critical thinking required of today’s game. he is not GM material.

late 70’s raiders (ken stabler era). i now could care less. i guess i’m a bills fan at this point.
cal / la angels still follow
salt lake golden eagles. had season tickets in late 70’s. doug palazarri era. paul tantardini was our goon. rick bowness was one mean MF. nickname was one punch and i was there. edit. i don’t know if anyone else was there but it was the wichita wind in the playoffs. a fan poured beer over the glass on the wichita players. several players went over the glass and into the stands. quite the scene in the old salt palace. section 15 was the bomb for hockey.
prior to the jazz, i was a sixers fan with dr. j and moses. was also a stars fan. zelmo, willy wise, glen combs, jimmy jones, red robbins, wayne hightower, dick nemelka and a few others. the games with indiana were very intense. mel daniels, billy keller (or was it bobby), roger brown.

Nice to be in the big 12. just be aware, there is ALLEGEDLY a certain fan base that will create fake user id’s and pose as ute fans. their intent is to cause trouble and make ute fans look like a-holes. i’m sure we have a few a-holes but the length these other folks go to in stirring the pot is unbelievable. realize this in advance and keep your radar on to detect the fakes. edit– i don’t post very often but this type of behavior is something all big 12 fans need to be aware of.
edit 2. or posing as fans from another big 12 school hoping to elicit negative big 12 comments.

i don’t remember the exact year or the ute player. i’m guessing it was mid to late 80’s. the game was at the U, i believe sean covey was the byu qb. byu was heading south at about their 40 yard line. covey rolled out to the right and our linebacker absolutely squashed him chest high. perhaps the best lick i have ever seen. i’m sure someone will remember who the linebacker was. edit. that was a little before the turn of the tables for the utes but that body slam was incredible.

yep. my early memories are a little later than yours. mike newlin, ken gardner, jim mahler. don’t remember the other 2 starters. dennis cook was a 7ft tall bench guy

the clock should not have stopped on the play prior to the fg.

the reid penalty for the late hit was the turning point. it would have been punt. the d totally sucked a**. there were sooooo many chunk plays by ucla. the scalley blitz on 3rd and 8 at the 8 (or close to that) was horrible. what do you hope to gain with a sack?

@miami ute. the portal is a non-starter. who would have come here with cam on the roster. you won’t lure a quality guy

agree. when 4 down linement aren’t getting it done, drop 8 for hell’s sake. his blitzes did NOTHING. i am so p**sed at scalley right now. his inability to adjust is telling.
