In 2020 we had our old shingles removed, a bit of patching and a new asphalt roof put on our 3,500 sq ft house with a fairly complex roofline. Supposedly heavy weight Corning shingles (25 year warranty?) The vents were changed to the type that vent along the whole apex.
IWC Intermountain West Contractors charged $14,850. They came with a whole crew, started at 7:30am (woke me up with the pounding) and finished by 4:30pm the same day. Seemed to do a good job and cleaned up well. Followed up later to make sure everything was satisfactory – had them go around again to pick up a few nails and debris. Had a rain gutter guy fix a couple of down drains that had fallen apart through the years at no extra charge.
Overall was very impressed and no problems since. Don’t know if prices went up that much. Saw several other roofs being done that summer that seemed to take weeks to finish with one or two guys working on it.
