The World Baseball Championships has turned into a must-watch tournament. Ohtani vs Trout in the final at-bat was epic.

As an example I had 3 quotes on a 6 foot wood fence last year. 7 years ago the quote was $30 linear foot. Last year was $100, $60 and $53 a linear foot and the only guy that used 6×6 posts in his quote was the $53 guy.

Paid $16k in 2018. Removed 2 layers existing on 2500 sf home. No panels. Even with inflation it feels high. Get a couple of other quotes and you’ll know for sure

This would affect like 50 students. Student support is pathetic, and has nothing to do with convenience of the venue. The only decision that has been made is that the Huntsman Center will be razed. Someone mentioned the Outlaws would be perfect if it were for a 14u baseball team. My kid once played for the Bandits, and the older team were the Outlaws. Blech. No thanks. Best game of the tournament after ASU/Texas. Very entertaining. One thing is certain, Whichever team makes it through this gauntlet, will have earned the right to be crowned national champs. Love the new format.

The HC can’t be saved. At some point it will be razed and replaced in a different location on campus. It will also be a smaller venue.

I’m fortunate. My youngest, a boy, is a complete sports nut and a current D1 athlete himself. He didn’t choose Utah because it didn’t check enough boxes and he had a better relationship with other coaches, but he’s a Utah guy through and through and loves going to almost anything Utah related when he’s in town during breaks. I think it’s weird that guys that spend a bunch of time on a college sports board aren’t interested in watching big college games.

Interesting especially in baseball or basketball. Kid serves a mission, plays JUCO for two years, then transfers to a D1 program for four years. Graduates with a masters degree as a 27 year old man. Largely debt free.

Dillingham has said it doesn’t matter and they’re still welcome to finish out the season with the team if they so choose.

Was a long wait to get to a legitimate playoff. Yeah I’ll absolutely be watching.
