Parach-Ute started the topic Pac 12 Championship Tix in the forum Football 5 years ago
I know this topic has been discussed on here and I’m sorry to repeat. I attended the Pac 12 Championship last year and bought my tix early through the Pac 12 website. I didn’t pay through the nose but I didn’t think I got a great deal either. The stadium wasn’t near filled even though Utah represented well. This year, I have yet to purchase tix…[Read more]

The past offseason, has there been a better assistant hire in college football than Andy Ludwig? I see a lot of people on here worrying about Morgan Scalley leaving but should we also worry about Ludwig getting HC offers he can’t refuse?

Let’s say that Utah and Oregon win out and meet with one loss in the Pac 12 Championship game. Oregon would have a very reasonable neutral site loss to Auburn which Oregon probably should have won and Utah would have a road loss to USC, a team whose brand supercedes their performance at the moment. Let’s say Oregon is #6 and Utah is #7. Let’s also…[Read more]

A week or so ago I was listening to the radio and heard that a local expert believed that, if Utah had a reasonably good season, they could land at least five four-star recruits. I see that Puka Nacua, a local four star, recently committed to USC. I wonder if he was inlcuded in that projection or not. Which current four star recruits do you think…[Read more]

Tonight is the 2018 NBA Draft, one of my favorite sporting events of the year. A year ago, most Jazz fans were hoping Hayward would stay and had no idea who Donovan Mitchell was. It’s amazing how much things can change in a year. The Jazz pulled the trigger last year on a trade from the 24th pick to the 13th pick and threw in Trey Lyles. The Jazz…[Read more]

Parach-Ute started the topic Starting PAC 12 QB Sizes in the forum Football 7 years, 2 months ago
There has been a lot of talk lately about Huntley’s size and whether he is physically ready to take the weekly pounding the PAC 12 provides. Below is a list of the PAC 12 starters, including their sizes:
Tyler Huntley – Utah (So) – 6′ 1″, 190 lbs (2.6 lbs/in)
Justin Herbert – Oregon (So) – 6′ 6″, 225 lbs (2.88 lbs/in)
Steven Montez – Colorado…[Read more] -

Parach-Ute started the topic BYU Football Transfers in the forum They So Poo Poo 7 years, 6 months ago
It seems like both BYU fans and Utah’s fanbase are getting pretty sensitive about the large number of transfers leaving the school they committed to pre-mission and committing to BYU post-mission. I am not going to get into the ethics of recruiting a missionary on his mission as that is a different subject altogether. I don’t see this as being a…[Read more]

Parach-Ute started the topic Basketball Recruiting and the NBA Draft in the forum Basketball (Men) 7 years, 6 months ago
I am unclear about how fans expect that having three first round draft picks in the last three years will help Utah get bluechip basketball recruits. For the most part, the draft picks Utah had were developed (at Utah) over multiple years, and in the case of Kuzma three years. Although the end product of being drafted in the first round is nice,…[Read more]

Parach-Ute started the topic Future QB Battles in the forum Football 8 years ago
So, the future QB battles (assuming no decommits or transfers) will be as follows:
2017 Williams vs Huntley
2018 Huntley vs Shelley
2019 Huntley vs Shelley vs Tuttle
Has there ever been so much potential QB talent at Utah? Who do you predict wins each battle and do any of you see potential transfer issues? I personally love the approach of…[Read more] -
