JJ not playing is huge. His backups just haven’t done it for us.

JJ is really who we’ve should have been talking about all week. If he’s healthy, our run game is significantly better, even when the D is stacking the box. I’m hoping he’s a go tonight. If not, it could be an ugly game.

We need more RPO’s. Nate can run from the outside. Get him out there, but give him pass options off of it. W Cam we ran those all the time and he isn’t a runner. IDK thought, maybe NJ shows something in practice that scares them from doing that.

I disagree with the notion that reps won’t help NJ make reads or throws. That’s exactly what reps will do. That’s why they practice. Our scout team often goes unheralded, but they are often some of the best. They run the opposing teams D. I liked it. Florida D had to adjust each time we changed it up. The changes didn’t negatively affect what we were doing IMHO. Our only miscues were not related to the change ups.

I’m going to add my voice to the Pro Johnson camp. I’m ok with Barnes, but of the two, Johnson has a better shot of being the future of the program. Get him out there getting experience to grow.
