That was Whit flat out telling us, without telling us out right, that Cam is NOT coming back. He knows it’s Cam’s place to announce that, BUT he isn’t waiting around. He wants to make it known due to the criticism a lot of fans have given him regarding Cam’s injuries.

Regarding Cam, he changed Utah football and showed us what could be with the right person at QB. I will always be grateful for what he brought to the table, his effort, ability, leadership and his personality.

That place is as loud, as rocking and as lively as they come. It’s the losing that hurts.

I’m not that worried. We’ve lost a lot of guys on defense before, and though we might not have been as strong the next year, we were still a decent defensive team.

As for the O, that is the big question mark. I think we will be better, but by how much?

How do you expect some to keep the drama up in the Fan World with you spewing facts like that?

His words immediately thereafter were “so you can read into that”. That was followed by (paraphrased) “That’s on Cam to make that known.”

If he’s not on the roster and we can read into it that makes the assumption pretty obvious.

I loved that he builds the O around the best players on the team and what they do well. That seems common sense, but was one of the frustrations I had with Lud’s offense. Have post injury Kuithe run an end around is a great example of NOT DOING this. I love BK, but he was much slower post injury but we kept running the plays he excelled at pre-injury and the results were not good. Mac had that same problem.

No offense, but I disagree with almost all of this. From my perspective….

1-Utah sports are doing good (except for the two biggies), but how much of that was him? Gymnastic almost tanked, but under the threats of lawsuits, he finally took action. Men’s baseball has tanked under him. Women’s BB\Gym was already at the top of their game. He literally made safe hires when needed, but otherwise has done nothing.

2-Football. This is 100% on Harlan. Harlan had a chance to grow our NIL early. Instead he opted for gimmicks (free trucks for the year) instead of cash. I know people say it’s not up to the school. BS. Particularly the AD. He needs to steer that and motivate donors. Instead he taxed the “poor” (season ticket holders). As far as moving forward, it was HE who agreed to make Scalley the HC in waiting. It was HE who reinstated that status after taking it away. I’m supportive of it, FWIW, but let’s not pretend he didn’t have anything to do with it.

3-Basketball. Others have covered this pretty well. He had a chance to hire big, he took what he saw as the safe out. Smith did well at UT St and to be honest, I actually don’t blame him for this hire. But why not go big when the money is there, and it was?

As far as my desire to want him fired (I do), it has nothing to do with his post game comments (which I have never seen BTW). It’s been clear to me from very early on, his goal was to come in, raise revenue for his resumes’ sake, and bolt. He doesn’t care about Utah (the school, the state or the culture), he doesn’t understand NIL AND he can’t relate to the fans, the players or the coaches. He is Taylor’s yes man and Taylor is just as incompetent in this area.

      My two cents, flame away.

Reality is Whit is working with a limited amount of funds. You see our AD was busy trying to increase our revenue in dimes from our fans, when he should have been working the philanthropist for dollars. Now we’re scrambling to make up our loses and it won’t happen this year, or even next. To be frank, may not happen until we get a new AD and\or president
