I still stand by that fact that on paper Utah is the more talented team in almost every category. Have they performed that way? No, a big hell no. But the talent is there. If these negative voices have been kicked to the curb and these guys come out fired up we have a chance. Our Defense is ranked top 15 nationally, our defense will keep us in it. Retzlaff is mediocre against man coverage and that’s what we exclusively play. If we can capitalize on a short field or a turnover of some sort we will be right in this.
As we all know if there is one thing in this rivalry it’s that the records go out the window when this game comes around.
Maybe i’m just being too optimistic but I think we truly have a chance, regardless of who we have at QB. We just have to put it all together.

I think the first throw or two were shaking off the rust. I think after he went down awkwardly on that tackle that that caused the lack of being able to throw. He couldn’t plant off his back foot, like at all. Couldn’t escape pressure. Isaac should have been put in at that point.

Yeah I love Cam, he has given his heart and sole to this team and love that he stayed to have what could have been a huge year for him and the program. I wish Cam would have thrown the ball away sooner, kneeled down, slid, anything besides putting himself in that position to be shoved into the gatorade cooler. I feel for him, he was excited for this year and the opportunity.
I’m just so exhausted by the mismanagement of the coaching staff, it is driving me crazy. Like typing this out is giving me anxiety.
Truly at this point I just want it to be Isaac’s team, that way everyone knows where we stand, the players, the coaches, the fans. We can start building to next season.
Man what could have been…. sad.

It’s funny to see the differences in opinions here. I actually didn’t mind the weather. Was it hot? Absolutely, but I didn’t think it was much different from early season games here in SLC. My wife and I prepped with hydration, significant amount of water the day before and during the game. Also drank a gatorade just before walking into the stadium and my wife brought some liquid iv packets. We were literally in the sun until probably the final 2-3 mins of the game.
As far as fan interactions went I was about 2 sections over from the designated Utah section, everyone was super pleasant. No name calling, just friendly banter. I’m always a pleasant one to be around anyways so if you aren’t an asshole to people they typically aren’t one back.
Had people shaking my hand, thanking me for coming out, asking how I liked Stillwater, the stadium, etc.,
      I would definitely go back.

The athletic departments have started to hire GM’s for the teams to basically do this stuff already.
The teams can’t directly get involved with getting kids NIL money but they can get money from boosters to go into the NIL.
However I believe next year in April the lawsuit will be finalized where colleges will be able to pay players directly and this will change everything once again. colleges will have budgets (salary caps) for each team essentially.

Yeah in most of my life I usually have low expectations because you are then never too upset.

I guess I just fell into the media hype, the Dr.Pepper hype train commercial really hits hard right now. haha.

Thanks for the dictionary reference. I guess my Utah degree didn’t teach me that.
Here’s something you can look up in the dictionary, “obtuse”

Losing fandom because of how things are being handled by the coaching staff. As a paying season ticket holder, NIL donor, fan who travels to 2-3 away games every year I feel I have a right to complain when the staff refuses to be transparent to gain a competitive advantage that just isn’t there.

But thank you for telling me i’m a fair weather fan, when I’m not even close to it.

Lol, fair weather fan? GTFO with that nonsense. I’ve been a fan for 38 years, born and raised a Ute. Went to school there, met my wife there, worked with the team for a few years. I have a dedicated basement with memorabilia of Utah athletics. So get out of here with that bs.
I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars, time, etc., with Utah athletics. I have season tickets to both football and basketball. I’m the biggest Ute fan that people know everywhere I go, church, school, work, etc., My wardrobe is Utah gear.
Please forgive me for being p**sed off that the coaching staff has p**sed away a good opportunity two years in a row now.

Well I do know that my wife’s boss is one of the NIL donors that donated for Cam to come back, I think their donation was over 1 million specifically for Cam.
