PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic ASU fan discovers BYU fan nastiness; apologizes to Ute fans in the forum They So Poo Poo 6 days, 1 hour ago
Correct you are chinngiskhaan. It’s been a trend for years for cougar fans to label opposing teams after their game. And it always goes the same. Their opponents are always “welcoming” and/or “classy” after games where the zoobs win, and always “vulgar” and/or “classless”, “anti-Mormon”, “drunken sots”, “foul-mouthed” et al after a loss.

Did he all of a sudden just change his mind? The DNews reported a couple of days ago that he’d already committed to return in 2025. In fact, as of right now, they’re still reporting this.

I predict that a committee to shoehorn Alabama into the CFP will convene first thing in the morning.

Barton returning would be huge. But I would think he’d consider entering the NFL draft. He’s got the talent to go early.

Dampier is an INT machine. So I’m not sold on him either.
I’ll take that RB though!

I was only going to give it a “2”, but OnlyU talked him up enough for me give him a “3”.
Meh.

You’re neither “accurate” nor “honest”. You said you’d never post on here if your pick for OC didn’t come to fruition. Yet here you are, 2-hrs after Jason Beck was hired as Utah’s newest OC, still posting.
If you want to post lies, go to cougarboard. They live for those types of fantasies. You’ll fit right in. You’d be venerated even. They…[Read more]

Rivals shows that we also have commitments from both Tavion McNair (WR) and Maximum Fonoimoana (LB). But it doesn’t shown them as having been signed yet. Do we know if they’re one of those types of recruits that are holding out for some “hat ceremony” in February?

I kinda feel like if he hadn’t have announced his departure on X, none of us here would have known he was even on the roster to begin with.

Jeanty weighed 195-lbs as a true freshman.
195!
Not 170!

PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic Flippin’ season. Utes land blazing fast RB Daniel Bray. in the forum Football 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Which of those 2 former Utah RBs were well under 200-lbs?
Just because a RB is as short as Moss and Jordan, that doesn’t mean he’s any good.
Utah already has a roster full of scatbacks. What we need are serviceable power backs. We’re not getting one of those with this guy.
Meh.

PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic New OC? And QB transfer? in the forum Football 2 weeks, 2 days ago
@SalUtopia
I think the “best-case scenario” for Utah is, Whittingham announces his retirement, and Scalley takes over. Scalley then poaches Jay Hill as our new DC, and hires a strong OC — whomever that may be.
And for the record, I’m not in the “fire Whittingham” camp. I think he’s one of the best coaches to have every taken the helm of a…[Read more]

Yeah, I’ll sign that.
Never heard of any Aztec Warriors crying out from the grave over how offended they are that San Diego St had adopted them as their mascot.
No victim.

PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic Where are we at with Rose vs Wilson in the forum Football 4 weeks, 1 day ago
Wilson is a true freshman. It’s not reasonable to expect that we’d be in the Big 12 race with a true freshman QB. It’s too soon to cut him.

To be fair, they were coming off a bye week, so they had more time to prepare.

PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic Running Back in the forum Football 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Since it hadn’t already been mentioned yet, Bernard is currently 6th in the nation in yards rushing this season. He’s only 1-yd behind #5 Kyle Monangai (Rutgers), and 6-yds behind #4 Ja’Quinden Jackson (Arkansas).

PhiladelphiaUte replied to the topic If FSU and Clemson stay put in the ACC in the forum Football 2 months, 3 weeks ago
With or without Florida St, Clemson, and Miami, short of a BigTen invite, I would have much preferred the ACC. And especially if we could have taken Colorado and Arizona St with us. If those aforementioned hopeful defectors were to stay, all the better.
That said, since we’re already here, unrestrained by any exit penalties, I think we might be…[Read more]

As a former student at ybu-p, I’d personally witnessed a ton of “superiority” comments from the student body. Here are a few.
1. “BYU is the Harvard of the West.”
2. “The only reason why people go to Utah, is because they were rejected by BYU.”. They also claim that’s why Utah fans hate ybu-p.
3. “Utah professors are anti-Mormon.”
4.…[Read more]

Ordinarily, so would I. But seeing as how Arizona has had an extra week to prepare, I’m not expecting this week won’t come without an extra layer of complexity.
The OSU/UA 2-game stretch has all along been widely deemed our most difficult stretch of the season.
Still looks that way.
GO UTES!!!
