I’ve said this all year long. If Whitt would have given Rising’s money to Jackson, let Rising walk, and gone with Rose/Wilson but had Jackson/Bernard as his RB’s, we’d be undefeated right now.

This. Whitt has had…9? 10? 11? OC’s in 20 years. They have the same issues.

The issue isn’t the OC. It’s Whitt. As long as he is here, it really doesn’t matter who the OC is. We will run the same offense we always run.

That being said, we need an OC who is a run first guy and doesn’t really need the forward pass.

So my vote is Boise St’s OC.

I agree with you and this should give us hope. There is no top level team in the Big 12.

There is no team that we can’t add a QB, WR and RB and not be better than.

Also, Wilson can’t throw an accurate 5 yard swing pass or screen pass.

And he’s had a month off to get better and he looked the same.

It’s not that Wilson sucks. There is talent there.

It’s so weird.

The reason why do many in our fan base are protecting him is because they want to dunk on BYU fans in church because of Zach Wilson.

And they are terrified Ike will transfer to BYU and be good.

I blame Whitt. In bad seasons before, we knew the players. We were at practices. We have practice reports. We knew who they were, we knew they were getting better, we saw the effort.

Now? They are strangers and not getting better.

I don’t care if Whitt retires or comes back, but he needs to stop shutting the fans out.

He’s so bad. He misses on all throws. He missed King earlier on a wide open TD.

Whittingham doesn’t play to win.

He’s rather lose by 3 than try to win, turn the ball over and lose by 21.

Why correct him?

Wilson is by far the worst QB I’ve ever seen play. He is so inaccurate. It’s wild. He misses so many easy completions.

Nope. But two horrific seasons in a row, 3 conference titles in 20 years, 8 straight losses, every metric going down for two years in a row, naming a HC in waiting that has no experience, etc, etc, etc show a pretty rapid decline.

The real question is, would playing make it worse?

If the answer is yes, then the coaches fucked up.

If the answer is no, then the next question is, does Rose want to play?

If the answer is yes, then the coaches didn’t do anything wrong.

It doesn’t matter.

If Whitt doesn’t take his foot off the gas like he does every single time we play BYU, we win. We have so many games where we are up two scores in the fourth quarter vs BYU and Whitt relaxes and tries to run the clock out and the game is way closer than it should be.

Another reason why Whitt needs to open up practice.

Too often he brings a player in, gives them reps over better players, plays them over better players, sticks with them over better players.

If practice was open, we’d at least be able to ask Whitt:

If it’s true, and you think it’s awful, then that’s a you problem. And that’s my issue with that group. It’s a bad group that does bad things and when you call them out for it, they get mad at you instead of looking in the mirror and changing.

Also, there is no Ohio State, Penn State, Oregon in the Big 12.

Utah could easily run the table next year, in large part because the Big 12 is so bad.

I think at this point Wilson is the QB the rest of this year, right?
