  • Maybe they’ll post that vid to youtube.

I hope they do. I put in my mom’s picture from the Rose Bowl as well (she passed just after the USC game in 2022) and would love to see if it’s in there.

Agree that Lohner was open in the flat, but the WR was open in the end zone as well. He just under threw it.

    That’s cool.

What I’d like to see it evolve to is the lights going down, the music starting, no talking, a big 22 flash on the board, the crowd goes wild (maybe phone lights on as the stadium will be dark) as the music builds and then the family on three part. Just absolute noise and craziness started by a slow build of the orchestra.

He’s going to be a great QB and last night showed that.

That second INT…the WR was open, Wilson made a bad throw. That’s it. He makes a better throw and he’s 8/11 with 2 TD’s and over 100 yards passing.

He was a freaking baller last night and anyone who says otherwise…lacks knowledge on QB play. He made the right reads, he made strong…[Read more]

    I disagree about QB1 to QB2.

Wilson played great. 7/11 with 74 yards, 7 ypc, and a beautiful back shoulder throw for a TD. I’m getting hard remembering it.

He did have two INT’s. The first one…the coaches screwed him over, which I bet they did on purpose to see how he responded. 3rd and 15, his third college football play ever. I’m ok with…[Read more]

  • Was it a dumb throw? Absolutely. If he had thrown it to the back corner instead of short, it was a TD. So, while not the smartest throw, he wasn’t throwing it into a quadruple covered receiver. The guy was open. It was a hard throw. He tried it and failed.

This is why you play super talented guys vs a school like SUU. So they can learn that this…[Read more]

  • Is there value when you look at it logically?

    Nope.

But when big time schools schedule games like this, you need to as well. Football is too hard. You can’t play 10+ P4 games a year, win 10+ games and win the playoffs.

Look, if Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Ohio State won’t play 10 P4 games a year, then you sure as hell shouldn’t. You…[Read more]

Ted Lasso is the Bryce Harper of the board. Panders to us big time, but still brings it with quality posts. I want to wish BYU luck…but I really just can’t.

But I really appreciate the sentiment from you.

I know all of us mourn the loss of the old PAC12. It was a great conference. We do what we have always done. Just line up and win.

Big 12 fans got a bad taste about Utah fan grief. It’s not looking down on the Big 12, which has great programs in it. The easiest way to explain to some would be to talk about the loss of good rivals that were b…[Read more]

  • How our transfers do elsewhere is a measure of the program. Coaching tree too.

  • Our DL is so good. And our LB’s are the best we’ve ever had. Bishop is a step down, but I think overall our secondary will be better this year.

  • If it’s on ESPN or ABC, your ESPN+ subscription won’t work. You need a Youtube tv/Fubo/Sling/Cable subscription to access ESPN and over the air antennae to get ABC.

  • We won 8 games last year, don’t recruit in the teens, didn’t have a monster recruiting class and are still ranked #12/13.

We are one of the most ranked teams in the CFP.

We absolutely have a brand and it’s this: “We are gonna kick your ass. But it will be fun. But we are still gonna kick it or go down trying.”

    It’s beautiful.

  • The biggest difference is that in the PAC-12, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Cal, Stanford were all bigger brands than us.

Who is a bigger brand in the Big 12? Maybe Colorado?

So I’d bet we’d have a lot more games on the major networks in this conference, especially if we are ranked.

  • I don’t think we lose a game after the Arizona week. And Oklahoma State doesn’t scare me at all. Not in the slightest. They have no QB and they want to run the ball. Their QB turns the ball over a lot when they can’t run. If OSU turns the ball over and we get some quick scores with Rising and his receivers…

This game could get ugly fast.

    I…[Read more]

  • This is why hearing coaches whining about NIL and transfers and everything makes me laugh. They are cool with the system as long as it keeps players not paid, not able to transfer but the coach can leave whenever they want, do commercials, shop their services around, etc.

  • This is really interesting. I think the strategy before this rule was get your young guys in the games early. Use their 3 games in OOC that don’t matter, when you are up big. Now…this can be huge for depth.

I still think you play someone who could contribute vs SUU. But then, you probably save them for later in the year. If you could have a…[Read more]

  • Utah replied to the topic NFL CUT DAY-LOCAL TIES in the forum Football 2 months, 4 weeks ago

I hope he gets cut and then ends up in Philly.

Huntley isn’t a starting QB. But what he is a QB who doesn’t turn the ball over, athletic, can get the ball to his playmakers. If you build a great team around him, he can get the job done.

That is what Philly needs. A QB that you don’t feel like you need to rush Hurts back if he gets hurt. Someone…[Read more]
