Utah replied to the topic Any practice updates for spring ball? in the forum Football 8 months ago
It’s a mystery!!! Know nothing about the Utes! Do not connect with any players! Do not see them play! Do not know if they are better or worse!!!!
And pay more money to watch them AND spend more time watching commercials!
You’ll love it!!!
Oh, and you are in the Big 12 now, so you get to watch shittier teams and go to shittier locations.
But…[Read more]

Man, you want to know why fan engagement is down…it’s because you are telling fans to go pound sand. No open practices, no media access, no injury updates, no open scrimmages and new players every time the season starts.
What in all of that invites a fan to have a good experience? At least professional teams have contracts that can tie a…[Read more]

Utah was forced to change hotels out of concerns for player safety after they were targeted by Nazi chuds multiple times the night before the game.
Couer d’Alene appears to be living up to it’s well-earned reputation.

Watching Utah fans laugh about BYU losing today is the same as BYU fans saying Utah sucks because they lose in the Rose Bowl.
I don’t get it. BYU bagging on Utah football for losing in the Rose Bowl is the dumbest fucking thing I’ve ever seen. And BYU losing today…whatever. I’m pissed Utah is in the NIT again. So fucking stupid.

Utah replied to the topic Spring ball starts tomorrow – What do want to see? in the forum Football 8 months, 2 weeks ago
How about a fucking practice? Open the practices outside back up. There are few things better than a warm, sunny day standing around watching football in the spring. Gives you hope.

It is utterly hilarious and absolutely ironic the lengths BYU fan will go to find the truth when it comes to some things and be so willing to close their eyes and whistle to blatantly obvious truths.

Utah replied to the topic Now this is what I’m talking about!! Way to go Pres Randall! in the forum Football 8 months, 3 weeks ago
It’s not that big of a deal at all. All it does is make the team that signed the 99 year deal pay a penalty to leave. Utah won’t have to pay that. Any team can leave, they just have to pay. Utah doesn’t.
But it is hilarious. It always hilarious when reality breaks through the fantasy bubble around that corporation and their little minds can’t handle it.

Utah replied to the topic YES PLEASE! in the forum Football 8 months, 3 weeks ago
This is all about money. When it comes down to Vandy vs Utah, the question will be “How many people will pay $10/month to subscribe to college football network app?”
If Vandy has 100 million people in the state but 99 all watch Tennessee and only 200K sign up to watch Vandy vs 1.5 million in Utah who would sign up…
Then Utah is way more…[Read more]

Market size is wholly a cable tv construct. I’m sure you know this, but tv deals are paid off of subscriber fees. Utah as what? 3 million people? Where as NYC alone has almost 30 million people?
There are a lot more people subscribed to cable tv watching FOX and HGTV and other bullspit in NY than Utah, so if you are getting $1 per subscriber in…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic I want one of these t-shirts! in the forum Football 8 months, 3 weeks ago
I’ve bought a few things from them. The shirts are nice and comfortable.
The prints…they don’t last forever. When you buy from there you are expecting it to last a season. Anything longer is bonus.

Utah replied to the topic Laumea and Bishop score well at combine in the forum Football 8 months, 4 weeks ago
Man, I didn’t think Bishop would fly up the boards, but with his speed, he will go a lot higher than we think. Especially since that white guy from Iowa is looking like he’s a safety at the next level…when you compare DeJean to Bishop…Bishop is clearly the better safety.
Vaki…Vaki, Vaki, Vaki. He killed himself yesterday. He did not test…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Dying love of recruiting in the forum Football 8 months, 4 weeks ago
I sound like a broken record, but there is an easy, easy fix.
Stop pretending this isn’t a pro league. Let the players unionize. Create a CBA. Have a salary cap, negotiated salaries, contracts, etc. Every other pro league does this and is successful.

Utah replied to the topic Playoff teams under proposed 3-3-2-2-1 model in the forum Football 9 months ago
There is such an easy way to fix all this:
The playoffs, whether 12 teams or 14 or 16, take the top 12/14/16 ranked teams.
Easy. BUT, it’s not fair for a one loss G5 to make it in over a 2 loss SEC team. So, how do you fix that? Normalize the schedules. The easiest way to do this is to create one rule:
1. You must play at least 9 P5 games a…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Michigan has 18 players invited to the Combine in the forum Football 9 months ago
I mean…he won a national title. What more do you want from him? He said the only thing left for him is to win a Super Bowl. He’s coached in Super Bowls before and lost. I can see why he’d still want that.
Hell, Saban couldn’t win in the NFL. If Harbaugh goes and wins a SB…he may be the greatest coach ever. Turning around SF 49ers, Michigan,…[Read more]

Utah replied to the topic Court ruling in Tennessee means zero restrictions for NIL in the forum Football 9 months ago
So California is at fault for not allowing athletes to be taken advantage of?
So, it’s ok for Saban to make 10 million a year and the athletes nothing?
Give me a break. Be smarter than this. This is another example of knowing a system is broken and doing nothing until it’s too late.

Duhwayne replied to the topic CFP meeting today expected to get interesting in the forum Football 9 months, 1 week ago
Wait you think I care about Jacksonville Jaguars vs Atlanta Falcons? The only way I might be curious is if there are Utes playing. Growing up in SLC I feel no allegiance to any NFL team. The Niners and the Broncos are closest but I feel nothing for either. If it becomes SEC vs B1G I expect the left half of the US will watch something else. Given…[Read more]

That’s too many teams. It will look like:
Utah
Arizona
Arizona State
Stanford
Cal
Washington State
Oregon State
SDSU
Fresno St
UNLV
UCLA
Colorado or Colorado State. There is no need to go bigger. You just add smaller markets, more mouths to feed which equals less money per school.
