To be fair, Utah is 0-5 in our last 5 P5 non-conference games (Florida, Penn St., Ohio State, Texas, Northwestern).

It’d be nice if we picked up a couple wins in that column this year.

USC and Stanford were the real villains. And Oregon State. USC and Stanford killed the Big 10 Alliance a few years ago. They didn’t want to add Big 10 teams to their schedule.

USC didn’t want Texas and Oklahoma.

The California schools were against 8 conference games, as they just had to play each other every year.

Cal is arguably the best public university on the planet. All other points made I agree with.

While I’m stirring the off-season pot, I should point out that I DVR all games and only watch if we win. It drives my brother crazy (s.o. to said bro, who also mocks me for posting and not lurking). Sports are entertainment and I can’t afford to give five hours to a frustrating loss. I also generally don’t watch the Colorado games because why?

I share your disappointment but I am not sure they are making the best move possible. I hope they get what they deserve for repeat short termism.
