Agreed. The issues didn’t look like Xs and Os to me, it was that this team doesn’t look right in terms of execution and discipline. We have injuries, sure, and that is hurting us, but this team doesn’t look prepared for a second year in a row, and 2 years in a row is no longer just freak bad luck.

Have you not seen most of these teams play? You think UCF has a functioning QB room? TCU jas an Ok QB, but the team isn’t good at all. Yeah, I have seen the schedule, and there isn’t a game that should be scary, but we obviously aren’t as good as we thought, either, so there are also no gimmes. I see TCU and Houston as both likely wins. I see BYU as a pretty strong possibility, too. UCF and CU are also both possible wins. Yes, and I think we will and will get better, but this year feels a lot like ’07 where things just don’t line up right. Honestly, probably to 6 or 7, but sigh. The silver lining with SMU playing well and Iowa St still winning is that we have a few games that could be marquee type game. Hell, if they haven’t lost more than 1, maybe even a game day or big noon for the holy war would be possible (or foe the Iowa St game if the same is true.

Yeah, and if we can turn things around from last week, we have a road ahead that now has a lot of opportunity. Agreed, but we have been winning without 3 of our top players. My comments on us being favored by 10+ most of the rest of the way are based on us as having our core healthy on O and D. We could lose any given week, I just think that if we get all our key players back and stay healthy we are the fastest car on the track by a fair bit.

At the top of the league, usually, but our schedule doesn’t look that different than many of our PAC schedules. Last year is the exception, imo, where we had a ton of top teams, but thinking of say 2018/2019/2021, we had maybe 1-2 games against truly top teams per year. That’s just my view.

Yeah, that is why I added that caveat of ‘healthy’, and this is definitely not a set in stone post, just what I am feeling/thinking after most of the days action to this point. I think K St may still have a great chance, but it seems like their biggest issues may be around consistency, and they already have that loss.

I think it is fine for all of us to have our opinions. I think we do have a slightly easier road this year compared to most years in the PAC as there aren’t as many true top teams in a given year. I thought KSt or OK St might be that, but they aren’t this year.

Yeah, I was at that game and Cam looked hurt and off all game. I think he was still recovering from some of the nagging stuff from the USC game even, but his accuracy was really, really bad all game. Thankfully, foe the CU and USC champ game he looked much better.

Yeah, he seems pretty solid. I have been watching his BigXII shows, and he just seems very respectful and has solid takes in general. You can tell he as KState allegiance, but it’s ok with me as it isn’t a secret. He and Fitz are my favorite of the BXII stuff I have seen so far.

I think they are playing over their heads right now, but it’s hard not to give them the credit as playing the most impressive ball in the conference right now. Yeah, I think this is the real start of the season now. I can’t imagine either of these 2 coaches have shown anything more than they had to so far, and I can’t imagine either holding anything back in this game. I expect to see a lot of adjustments and looks as the game goes on.

You are correct. I was thinking the late field goals were in the first OT and not near the end of regulation. I forgot that both teams missed FGs in OT1.
