Spence is very much a Utah fan. I have been to games with him. He is a fraternity brother of mine from the same pledge class. Like him or not (and I definitely like him), I know for a fact that he is a Ute fan.

No. We are 4-0, and our team is like a family. Cam is the leader. If he isn’t going to play, it would be great to know, but he is clearly our best option in the meantime. Nate needs some more maturing, but I am really happy with him getting time. We are 4-0. I trust we will play a different style when we need to, but the coaching staff has handled…[Read more]

  • I think, just like most teams, we are being ranked on what we are when healthy, and the fact we are 2-0 v P5 and 1-0 vs T25 with about half our studs out indicates that, when healthy, we likely belong.

Would love this! 16 to 18, at this point, who cares. I would love to keep playing those teams and really like both fanbases.

  • Yes, we were lucky to go on the road and beat a team when we basically were missing half our team, but I mean, yeah, as presently constituted we aren’t expecting to be world beaters. We are 2-0 against to P5 teams with half of our teams staffed with backups. We need to give some serious props to our coaching staff for delivering two wins with a…[Read more]

Rating inflation is a real thing, too. The difference between some of the 3 and 4 stars and some of the 3, 4, and 5 star guys is usually more around questions vs. proven results at a point. There are way too many people who UNDERATE our talent (and I am fine with that). Our coaches are great at looking at measurable, character/work ethic, and…[Read more]

  • There would be some really cool games, but yeah, the travel would be brutal, and that league is likely not long for this world. I think the non-FSU/Clemson/Miami/UNC group is trying to handcuff the rest of those folks to avoid a catastrophic collapse.

  • BSU is a better school than you are thinking. It isn’t Utah, but it has come a long way. It has very solid CS and Engineering programs that are quite respectable/respected at this point. Micron has dumped a ton of money and support into the school. It is one of the better curricula around for people going into the semiconductor field.

  • Yeah, Shadeur Sanders and Hunter are legit 2 of the best players in the country. They could literally start almost anywhere in the country. Deion is a smart man and knows how to market… plus who can make a better pitch with kids than him. Literally one of the best football players of all time. I am really happy for the Buffs today. I still think…[Read more]

  • Not scared of CU, but they look really good. Deion Sanders is a good coach, and I think underestimating them would be a huge mistake. The team has talent, and he has pulled it together well. This TCU team is not the same team as last year, but they still have a lot of talent. CU is likely a middle to upper middle team in the P12 based on how they…[Read more]

  • Yeah, I think we set up well against them if we can get our running game going. Their CBs are REALLY good!

  • They likely won’t be great, but you could have said the same thing about us in 2021. Sometimes it takes time to get a team to come together. They played SLOPPY tonight on dumb stuff, but their D was actually pretty solid (some of that was us, some them). They held us to under 50 yards in the second half, their O just couldn’t really do much to us…[Read more]

  • With no Tafuna, O’Toole, and Reid!

  • No issues with the calling in the 2nd half, just issues of execution and then our classic risk aversion.

I go 100% in on NJ until Cam comes back. He needs to develop timing, but he can be special in a year or so, and maybe even this year. I say start him vs. Baylor!

  • prestitute replied to the topic Pretty sure in the forum Football 2 years ago

12 yards and still scored 7 pts.

  • I am excited that we will have time to work on him. I think we can be special, and if it ends up not working at QB, he could be a great Covey/Matthews type. I think he can be a really good QB still though, just needs time.

I had a blast in Gainesville last year. Good banter and a lot of fun overall! Handshakes and fistbumps during and after the game.

Congrats! May the 2 keep you distracted from the stress of either. Good luck to her and you. Here is to a double celebration for your family!

They were cocky last year and still somehow beat us, so we should be weary and ready! I think we will be ready. I wish we were at full strength, and I hope they feel it is a foregone conclusion that they will beat us.
