Interesting post. I see a few things that don’t fit in your over/under.
I think the 40 points per game seems about right. But, 1100 yards is less than 400 yards per game. If we score 40 points a game, I would think that we would average over 400 yards per game. If we have 850 yards passing per game, which seems about right, it would mean that…[Read more]

I agree to a point. But, the Florida game in 2022 was a bad game for Cam Rising. He was simply off-target (low) on many passes. It is one of his worst games as a Ute IMO and we still almost figured out a way to win.

They had a good segment on Caleb Lohner. The coaches say that he has an amazing athletic body and is learning fast. I suspect we will see him on the field in some situations, especially in the red zone.

I have not seen a post about being overhyped. I did post about drinking the Kool-Aid. That has nothing to do with being overhyped, just not yet totally convinced that we have all the positon groups addressed.
Actually, I think our ranking in both polls is just about right. So, no, not overhyped.

I mentioned in an earlier post that it is easy to be optimistic during fall camp because everyone seems to look good in practice. That being said, here are my subjective grades for each position group.
QB (A-) The only reason this is not an A is because we have yet to see if Cam is the same player he was two years ago.

OnlyU has posted some positive things about our RB room. He often mentions Mitchell as being a key player on our team this season.

No, it was hyperbole when I said that the media said they could win the conference. However, a month or two ago they were saying that the max they would win this season is 4.
