From the stats, it looks like Vaki is getting some playing time on offense and defense. It appears he is getting a lot more reps on offense. He had 6 carries for 22 yards and 4 pass catches for 60 yards. Did anyone see the game that can give us an update more than just stats.

Vaki is a good man. I hope he succeeds in Detroit.

I get your point, and I have said before, I would like to see our offense opened up against SUU. However, I don’t believe we need to show all of our cards until we have to. We are hearing that Ludwig is experimenting with a 4 tight-end set. I hope we don’t show it at all before conference play. Then, at some point when the offense may be struggling, we run 4 tight-ends onto the field. This creates a huge matchup issue for any defense. This could provide some immediate success.

When I am out in the car, running errands, I turn on sports radio. Riley was ver good but a bit too much of a Utah homer. OC is okay, he will have to find his style going forward. Spence rubs me wrong. He is a know-it-all. No one can disagree with him. Also, he is an NBA guy first and I just don’t care much for the NBA anymore.

I have watched all of them play. Scott Mitchell was an amazing QB with a team with limited talent. For me, Scott Mitchell is the GOAT, followed closely by Alex Smith. Others in the conversation are Brian Johnson, Tyler Huntley, and Cam Rising.

Just one old goat’s opinion. 🙂

I heard that we have some plays with four tight ends. On one play Wilson threw a TD pass to Lohner. I understand that Scalley lost it because the coverage was bad.

So it sounds like Ludwig is trying to utilize his large and talented tight end group.

Yeah, it’s crazy. It’s kind of sad that your hate for your rival is greater than your love for your own team. I can’t get my head wrapped around this way of thinking.

I go into every college football weekend hoping for one thing – A UTAH WIN. I watch other games and enjoy them, but I get my joy from Utah winning.
