I will probably get some thumbs down for this. But, I hate it when some people (the minority) come into the game totally plastered. They don’t know up from down and can at times become obnoxious. One game, a guy behind us was so drunk, he vomited all over my son and me. Another game, a lady close to us would moon the crowd each time the…[Read more]

That 1981 basketball team was fun. You forgot to add Martin.

The death of Jerry West got me thinking about my favorite pro teams from my childhood. I have always been a Utes/Redskins fan. Here are my favorite pro teams when I was a kid.
Basketball – This was in the 60s and early 70s (long before the Utah Jazz). I was a big Lakers fan with Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Wilt, etc. It was so frustrating…[Read more]

Fair assessment. I think 10-2 is a solid prediction.

Hard to argue with most of your picks. Like TanUte, I think Singer may be the offensive player of the year not named Rising. However, I am fine if it turns out to be Kuithe.
I don’t under Huard being your surprise player of the year. I hope Rising stays healthy and we don’t see Huard. Also, I hope that Wilson is QB2. I think he is our…[Read more]

ProudUte replied to the topic Which away football atmosphere did you enjoy the most? in the forum Football 5 months, 2 weeks ago
I liked the Big House in 2002. There was a nice Utah tailgate on the golf course next to the stadium. I found the Michigan fans welcoming, and I thought it was great that the band marched on the field playing “Utah Man am I.” One totally drunk Utah fan made a fool of himself, and the Utah fans started to bo him.
We had a good time at Oregon in…[Read more]

I agree with you on BYU, but I do not understand your thinking on Arizona. They have a great QB and an All-American WR. They lost their coach, but they did not lose a lot of players to UW like was rumored. I think UA will be a top-4 team.

I saw at least two posts where UtHub.com was mentioned. I hope to see some of our Big12 friends come over here and post.

Interesting site. There is Ute bashing going on this morning. However, there are some very positive posts about the Utes as well.

Whitt is all about winning the game in the trenches.
I think our offensive line is the key to our team being great (not just good). We have the other components. As MD posted above, if these guys can come together, it will be lights-out!
Go Utes!!!

Fellow Utes, we are less than 90 days until our first game. I am excited for this season.
What do you think our strengths and weaknesses will be in 2024? Below are a few of my thoughts.Strengths
QB – We have an experienced QB who can pass, run and knows how to read defenses.
WR – This may be our best WR group in a long time.
TE – We have 4…[Read more] -

I get what you are saying and I was not pleased with the Vincent score. However, there’s a big difference IMO.
Vincent was handed the ball up the middle. Vincent was our 5th string RB. Kind of hard to tell the kid not to try. Should we have taken a knee? IMO, yes.
Arizona put in their former QB1, who was back from an injury and he threw a…[Read more]

I don’t know but I don’t think so. I watched him early when he became the starter because of an injury to QB1. He wasamazing. I kept thinking that defensive coordinators will figure this kid out and he will not be as effective.
Well, that never happened. Yes, he is not big. The kid can play football. He was asked what does he have to do…[Read more]

Our defense was indeed terrible at Tuscon last season. However, many of our best players were not able to play in that game. We looked bad, but I highly doubt we will look that bad when we play them in SLC in game 5 in 2024.
The way that Arizona ended that game is a disgrace and poor sportsmanship. The coach is gone, but Whitt and the team…[Read more]
