Whitt drove Riley crazy by making late defensive substitutions. It threw off Williams and the offense and even forced Riley to take an early timeout in the second half. It was funny that they would slowly jog on a player and the player leaving the game would wait until the last second to jog off the field.

Good game on Saturday. Wins in the Coliseum are difficult to come by. Proud of the team for facing adversity.

Oregon is a good team with very good offense and defense. They are hands-down the best offense in the league. They are very balanced bewtween passing and running. They have no weaknesses.

Caleb Williams is all about Caleb Williams. He certainly is an amazing athletic talent. If I were an NFL GM – I would think twice before I picked him #1. However, GMs think they can fix this kind of thing. He has the talent to become a great NFL QB. But, IMO he won’t become great because he is NOT a team-first guy. He is not a team leader.

1. Oregon (I know they lost to UW, but I think they are the better team.)
2. Washington (Did not look good against ASU, but this may be just one of those bad games every team plays.)
3. Utah / OSU (I wish we could get the game against OSU back with a healthy Jackson and Vaki playing RB.)
5. Arizona
6. UCLA
7. USC
8. WSU

There is nothing wrong IMO wishing the PAC12 did not dissolve. It was a great conference for us in so many ways. But, it is gone and it’s not coming back. Some of the things (some Ute fans) are saying about their college towns could be said about SLC. We started off slowly. USC was running the ball well and the Trojans scored two easy touchdowns. I think that Scalley initially miscalculated some things. However, Scalley made amazing adjustments and USC did not have another TD drive the rest of the game. (They did score an 11-yard TD after the punt return.)

I did not want the PAC12 to dissolve. It makes more sense for us to play in a regional conference. All of these conference realignments are getting out of hand and I hate it.

I have disagreed with some of Whitt’s secrecy policies. I believe I can still be a big fan of his and disagree with him from time-to-time.

I do agree that this season “may” end up being his best ever because of what the staff has done with so many injuries. We may not have always won pretty, but Whitt obviously does not care about style points.…[Read more]
