Losses happen and we lost to a good OSU team on the road. I have left that game behind me.

Most pathetic effort by a Ute team since the 2007 debacle at UNLV. I don’t know what to think. I am not sure that the offense can be fixed this year. Would Cam even be able to make a difference?

I will always remain a Ute fan, but this is a sad day in Utah football.

Ludwig and Whitt have to be creative tonight like Meyer was against AFA in 2003. We did not have a scholarship RB available, so Mey moved TE MOa to that position. We won that game in OT.

We need to do something new and unexpected if we hope to win tonight.

Defense should indeed be nasty. But, I am very worried about our RB situation now that we know Jackson cannot go.

The good news is that O’Toole will play tonight.

No surprise. Hopefully, we have a different offensive game plan than last week. As Scott Mitchell just said, every team is stacking the box to stop the run. Mitchell says we need to make the quick pass and open things up.

I am most interested in Jackson. Of course, I am interested in Cam, but I think I have given up on him playing until at least the Cal game.

ALUF, I get what you are saying. However, maybe just maybe we come out with a different offensive game plan tonight. WSU destroyed them through the air. Maybe we move to a short passing game and try to exploit their weakness. Of course, we have to throw in a few long passes to open things up.

I think you are probably right about Cam not playing until the Cal game. I said the same last weekend. This will give him two more weeks to get his timing down and gain confidence.

BUT – I hope he is ready to play and plays tonight. We need something to jumpstart our offense. I am honestly more worried about our running back situation.

Honestly, my concern is our inability to develop new QB talent. Maybe we should hire a QB whisperer. If I am not mistaken, Ludwig acts as the QB coach. Could we find a QB coach who can focus exclusively on the QBs and their development? Just a thought.

I am glad that Whitt is our coach. He has developed Utah football into a national brand. But, I gave up trying to understand exactly what he thinks. One thing I do know – is that he has no use for style points. This can bother some fans because they want their team to look good while winning. Oh well, Kyle does not care.

I have one issue that has caught up with us from time to time. Scalley waits to the very last moment to call the defense and all of the players are looking to the sideline. Opposing coaches know this and try to catch us off-guard occasionally.

I’m not sure it is a good idea to question how a fan chooses to be a fan. We all have issues with the offense and we like/need to vent. Heck, Whitt has problems with the offense and I am sure he vents (probably to Meyer, Andersen, and other ex-coaching buddies).
