So, we are right where we expected to be. We have a new QB and tight end. Now we need to get out there and win these next few weeks and hopefully have Kuithe and Rising back for the Weber State game to get some reps.

We can win this game. It will be a bit harder without two star players, but we have the guys to win this.

The interview was done last night and broadcast this morning on ESPN700.

He says he is still hopeful to play. It’s up to the doctors. He is working on conditioning.

He has done 11 on 11 reps. Some have suggested that he has only done 7 on 7 reps.

Mentally he is trying to not get too high or too low.

Richardson played great. The next week he got a nagging injury that affected him the remainder of the season.

That being said, our defense was terrible that night by their own admission. Cam did not have a great night either and yes we blew red zone opportunities.

Southern Miss gave up an average of 372 yards per game last season. That’s not bad but not fantastic either. I agree that he lacks experience. I hope we can exploit his lack of experience. But, he may be great. Personally, I suspect that a new coach with a bunch of new players will struggle early in the season.

Riley never asked him about injuries, likely assuming he would not give a straight answer.

I hope Pittman has a breakout season. His stats have not been overwhelming so far. But, I understand he has been injured most of his college career. Many are talking about O’Toole and Vaki. It sounds like they are ready to deliver.

I know that you can’t talk about injuries, since Whitt keeps that all close to the vest. But, how are you feeling about the team and the game on Thursday? Do you see some breakout players that most fans had not expected to be key players this season?
