Untouchable coaches
There was a day not so long ago – we wouldn’t be listed in the top 100 football coaches. It’s a fun time to be a Ute football fan.

The PAC12 and the SEC each have four teams in the fourteen teams listed. By the way, the Big12 has one team listed and that team will be in the SEC next year.
Who will make the CFP?

Jack Gardner – He took the Utes to two final fours and won many conference championships. The Special Events Center (Huntsman Center) is often referred to as the house that Jack built.
Chris Hill – Started here as an assistant basketball coach. He became the long-term athletic director that took us to the MWC and then to the PAC12.

Utah will not be ranked 1st. That will go to USC. However, we could be ranked from 2nd to 4th. IMO, we will be ranked 3rd behind USC and UW. Oregon and Oregon State will be right behind us.

Utah is the second least likely to repeat as conference champs among the P5 leagues.
This is a nice article. I agree with most of what he wrote. The road to a threepeat is a tough one. It’s nice that we are in these conversations.

Money Parks is listed as 48th behind two Utes I thought he would be rated higher than, Glover (41) and Pittmen (44). I think Parks is set up to have a very good season. I still think Vele and Kuithe will be the top receivers.

I think there is an argument to be made for running backs, Oline, Dline, tight ends, and linebackers. I suppose one could argue QBs too. I predict it will be the Dline. The top candidates would be: Williams, Blackmon, Weddle, Bishop, Lusk, Scalley, and Larry Wilson.
