The Utah/USC championship game will be on the PAC12 60in60 just before the Utah spring game tomorrow. I have it set to record so I can enjoy it a few times this summer while I wait for the 2023 season to start,

This is a headline in 247 Sports. So what do you all think? Is he the guy we want? I have seen him play and he is talented. It would be fun to get him just to make some of the crazy BYU fans upset. I am not sure the baggage (his mom) is worth his talent.

Nice article about Kincaid. He was a 2-star or less coming out of high school. Now he is projected by ESPN to be the first tight end taken in the 2023 draft. What a story!!!

Coach Whitt seems happy with most positions groups except wide receiver. He said that we do NOT have the depth we need at WR. He said Rose is leading the pack in the battle for QB2. Whitt seems pleased with Glover’s progress. He sounds very happy with the defense, especially the Dline.
Spring Ball

It sounds like he lacks experience since he comes from New Zealand. However, he has the size and athletic ability to be a good player for the Utes.

A press conference today announced that Utah (under the Miller Group) is going to try to bring major league baseball to Utah. They have talked to MLB leaders and they believe they have a good chance of getting a team.

Now, I am not sure it is in my top ten. Part of it is due to Utah’s terrible play for so many years. But, men’s college Bball is simply not the same. ESPN produced their top ten list of returning QBs. Cam Rising is 6th on the list. I would agree with that if we see the 2021 (healthy) Cam Rising or the Rising we saw against USC on October 15th.

I mentioned below that Whit had said that Rose was separating himself from Johnson. Now I found this article going into more detail. Not a lot is said about Barnes in this article.
Is Rose QB2?

In an interview after practice yesterday – coach Whitt said that there is some separation between Rose and Johnson. Nothing was said about Barnes, so I don’t know if this means that as of yesterday Rose was QB2 or not. Whitt did say that Johnson had been hobbled some and that there was a long way to go this spring.

You may or may not like coach Prime and you may think that he will fizzle out coaching a P5 team. However, you cannot argue that he is not making an impact in Boulder. They have sold out their spring game and ESPN is going to broadcast the game. That doesn’t even happen at Georgia.

I ran into a former Ute QB on Saturday. He has remained close to the program. We were talking about the upcoming season and I said that I was concerned about Cam being ready to play by game 1. He quickly responded, Cam told him that he is fine and will be ready to play.
