We took care of business Saturday.  It was a good outing.
Similar to last year’s CCG because we are playing a team we beat before.
Williams is an excellent QB.  Best QBR in the conference.  He is very difficult to sack and keeps plays alive.  He is an incredible talent.  Odds on favorite to win the Heisman.
    USC’s turnover margin is…[Read more]

  • 1. It seems that 90% of the media want USC to win so they can make it to the CFP.  Utah is better when they are not expected to win.  Plus, it appears that USC and Williams are a bit cocky right now.
    2. USC’s pass defense made Pyne from ND look like an All-American last night.  He completed his first 15 passes.  This comes from a team that…[Read more]

  • I thought about 3 or 4.

  • I know it is actually four out of the last five.  But, the Covid year should be thrown out.  How can you count a five-game season full of illness and cancelations?
This is impressive!!!  I know for me and most of you – this season was not what we had hoped it would be.  But, four straight championship games is dang impressive.  No other P5 team…[Read more]

I took a day away from this board, because I knew Saturday night was difficult for Ute fans like me.  We had hopes and expectations that were not met.  We only needed one successful drive in the end to win that game.  (It could be worse – we could be Tennessee.  They had a chance at the CFP and were destroyed by an unranked team.)
    Face it – we…[Read more]

My complaint about Ludwig would be that he didn’t use Johnson.

  • I am with you. Cam has done a lot for the program, but it’s now time to move on. I thought this before the game and would feel the same if we had won.

We need to get some receivers via the portal.

  • I get it. We had high hopes. But, Cam has not really looked good since the USC game and we could not explout the terrible Oregon pass defense.

By the way, we need some better wide receivers.

I still love Cam and my Utes. He simply was off tonight. Also, I think we could have been more creative in the play calling. Why no Johnson in the wildcat.

I got to give Scalley and the D credit for making great adjustments in the second half.

It is what it is. We did not deserve to win tonight.

  • I say if Rising and Kincaid are close to 100% – the Utes have a good chance regardless of Bo’s status.

    Go Utes!!!

  • There are two Skyridge players I want to see at Utah next year.
Defensive end Akana – I think this guy is a future AA.  He is being recruited by every major college in the country and could end up being a 5-star guy.
Cornerback Snowden – This guy has amazing talent and is also being recruited by every major college.  He is a BYU legacy kid. …[Read more]

  • The Utes 2022 offense is arguably the best offense we have had since we entered the PAC12.  But, I think we may only have one player that makes the first team.  That would be Kincaid.  Maybe one of our offensive linemen makes the list as well.  Rising is very good but there is no way he will be first team again this year with Williams, DTR, Nix,…[Read more]

  • I accidently ran into this article via a news site on the web.  This article claims that the point spread on the game this weekend changed simply because of Chris Hutson’s comments and nothing more.  This Duck insider has no more info on whether Nix will play or not.

So, do the guys in Vegas simply believe Hutson, or have they done…[Read more]

  • The Oline did a heckuva job last Saturday.
The atmosphere at senior night was excellent.  He loved his time at Utah.  His family was pumping him up before the game.  He said that doesn’t normally happen.
His best memories at Utah are: Covey’s punt return against the Ducks and the come-from-behind victory against USC.
    They have made mistakes…[Read more]

  • Dillingham has done an amazing job for the Ducks this year.  He is only 32.  He did go to ASU and was an offensive assistant at ASU for one season.  Is ASU willing to take a chance on a young coach like Dillingham?

  • He said the last player he would take seriously in an interview would be Huston.  He isn’t saying that he is lying, but …
Everyone seems to think that the line changed because of Huston’s comments.
He also said that he knows that Nix is taking reps in practice this week.
He honestly doesn’t know if Nix will play or not.  Lanning is like KW in…[Read more]

  • I certainly would prefer that Utah beat Oregon at its best.  However, every team has key injuries this time of year including us.  We have to deal with our own injuries and make adjustments based on the opposing team’s injuries.  We have all seen games when a star DB goes out with an injury and the QB immediately goes after the replacement.  I am…[Read more]

  • I am not a gambler, so I don’t know if it means anything.  They had been showing Oregon at -3 since Sunday morning.  Have they pulled it based on questions concerning Bo Nix?
I did check some Vegas sites and they are showing -2.5 or -3.  It just seems odd that ESPN stopped showing the line or the O/U.

  • ProudUte started the topic Can we win on the road? in the forum Football 2 years ago

I listened to a PAC12 Podcast that suggested that Utah is not a good road team.  They pointed out that we are 1-3 against the spread on the road.  That is not good.
If you take off your crimson glasses – what do you all think?  Can the Utes beat a very good team on the road?  Obviously, we can but is playing at Autzen going to be a difficult…[Read more]

  • He won’t say anything specific about Nix and the injured offensive linemen.
“I’m not going to share really any update with anyone,” Lanning said. “We came away dinged in that game. I will say that I feel lot more positive today getting to hear some news on where things are at right now.”
I guess most college coaches are mum about injuries…[Read more]
