Whitt said in his presser they were not going to let Wilson take any risks and they closed the playbook.

Is Wilson going to be our future QB? I really don’t know. I admit that he has not looked great. I hope we see a much better Isaac Wilson in the future.

They joined the press conference a bit late,so I don’t know what he said in the first fe minutes.

5 yards a carry is the benchmark for our running game. We were at 4.7. When our run game is clicking we will be around 230 yards. There is more that we need to do. Bernard had a good game.

Vele had 8 catches for the Broncos in his rookie debut. Did he ever have 8 catches while playing at Utah? I honestly don’t know the answer. If he did, it did not happen often.

Tony, I get what you are saying, and it makes some sense. But, I think I still want to see Cam play a half. I think Cam still has some timing issues to work out with his receivers before we go to Stillwater the next week.

I agree with this against USU.

I understand that yesterday he came in with a 23 point lead and Whitt knew if he threw some picks the game would change quickly. Whitt just wanted to get out of the game with a win. He wasn’t interested in style points. But, next week we need to prove that the offense can move the ball.

But – I think Cam plays.

First let me say that I have been a big fan of coach Ludwig. Most of Whitt’s successful seasons have been when Ludwig was here, i.e., 2008, 2019, 2021 and 2022.

Defense was great. Only allowed 12 first downs.

He thought that the game was going to be a blowout.

Bernard has a great game and is RB1.

They hope that Rising’s injury is not too serious. They will know more tomorrow.

The gameplan was to play conservatively with Wilson in the game. They have confidence in Isaac going forward.

Many posters are making sick jokes about Cam’s injury. One poster said that his injury was just because he was doing prostrate exams. They are typically jerks, but making jokes about a team’s QB injury is really low.

We played near perfect for 28 minutes, then …

Too many special teams mistakes, but we did have the one TD.

The D delivered even though they weren’t getting any rest in the 2nd half. I have no clue what Rising’s status is. But, I hope his injury is not too serious. I hope Cam will be back at least by Ok State. Wilson is not yet ready.

I wish Wilson looked better, but he is 18, and they did not allow him to do much. Whitt just wanted to hold on for the win, which they did. If he starts against USU next week, I think you will see a different guy. Oh, and Baylor’s D showed a lot of new stuff knowing they were going against a true freshman.

I say it’s way too early to judge Isaac yet.

It was an ugly game for sure. BYU has no offense, but I think their D looked good. But, is it because SMU has no offense? I don’t know anything for sure.
