It wouldn’t matter. The local precincts are so strongly gerrymandered that nothing can change it.
The secret is to get people to attend their neighborhood caucuses and make their voices heard. Some polls show Utah being somewhere above 40% Democrat, but the local legislature is still >85% Republican. And that allows the legislature to move…[Read more]

No offense, and you bring up a good point. Please keep posting!
To clarify, I don’t want to see a situation where Tyler Huntley is the #3 guy. That would be bad.
Troy was dealing with a sprained MCL after kid season (Cal game?), so hopefully he is doing much better this year.
Bateman is a bit of a change of pace. I want him to have a shot to…[Read more]

Puget Ute replied to the topic I need cordless drill help (not sexual innuendo) in the forum Misc 7 years, 9 months ago
I have a $$$$ DeWalt that is uber-reliable and powerful. But for big jobs where I need to screw in hundreds of screws, I happily choose my $30 corded drill and just deal with dragging the cord around. It is smooth, extremely powerful, and works all day long without slowing down.
This is especially true with the 4″ deck screws…

If you want to stay in the $60-$90 range, just get a good drill with a nice extension cord. In fact, you can get an awesome drill for sub $50 that will crush any cordless drill in power and longevity.
If you are serious about getting a cordless drill, look at the Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, or similar. If you want to use it mostly for screws…[Read more]

That phone is a perfect example of a company being able to copy/paste and build/sell a nearly-exact replica, without worrying about running afoul of regulations.

They are almost required to set up an app, because if they won’t do that they will miss out to people who will just stream (illegally) through Kodi. They will need to get in the game or else they will miss out on capitalizing on the streams that will happen with or without their consent.

I have the DirecTVNow service. It costs me $35/mo because I signed up during a special intro pricing ($35/mo forever, pay 3 months in advance and get an AppleTV 4 – I did it just to get the ‘free’ AppleTV). I can stream shows/games/etc on my phone as well. The pricing is now closer to $60, so I can’t leave and restart it without paying the…[Read more]

You just need to buy the package that allows multiple streams. But then it really isn’t much of a cost savings over cable/satellite beside the fact that you don’t need to rent a cable box for each TV.

That is a great position for him. He will need to put on weight and learn how to block, but he is fast and can take a hit.

This response is interesting, because this industry is a huge recipient of corporate welfare. And I know you are viscerally opposed to that (as should we all).

Welcome back! Anacortes and Bellingham are wonderful, I love those areas. And the only time you will see traffic is when you lose your mind and decide to drive down to Seattle…
I will need to stop in Anacortes and pick you up for the Round the County race sometime.

In the 2012 season UW was the #1 team in the PAC, but lost to OSU by 2 pts in the first round of the conference tournament and went to the Semifinals of the NIT (lost to Minnesota 68-67 in OT).
Incidentally that year Stanford finished #7 in the PAC, but went on to win the NIT (crushed Minnesota in the final).

I didn’t realize he played D-1 basketball.
His performance in Moonlight as a “drug dealer with a heart of gold” was spectacular.

Best tweets I saw:
“Now Gonzaga knows how Utah felt when they lost to Oregon State, and how BYU felt when they lost to UVU!”
“Oh man, those guys are going to get so many side hugs when they get back to Provo!”
