Amazing opportunity, but Wrigley Field would be very cold!

This list won’t be complete without somebody who actually went to school at the U. I had a few classes with Ryan Raddon back in the day and knew him (somewhat) because he worked at Mechanized Records (anybody remember that place?) and when he started DJing at Manhattan. Humble beginnings for somebody who ended up a $250k/night DJ and playing in…[Read more]

Puget Ute replied to the topic 4* RB Eno Benjamin is making his decision tomorrow in the forum Football 7 years, 10 months ago
Coach Polamalu? Yes Please! He is a fantastic RB coach. He would be a valuable replacement for Dennis Erickson, and would be a perfect cultural fit for our team and program.

In some ways it is a shame that CBB didn’t redshirt this year. In other ways I am glad he got to play a bit, have some success, and entertain us. And now he gets to graduate and move on.
I know that both Domo and Cory BB will regret their decisions not to play in what is likely to be their very last FB game ever.

Puget Ute replied to the topic Soo Bama or Clemson? in the forum Football 7 years, 10 months ago
I thought that Alabama was perhaps the best team in CFB history, but I think UW played them respectable well. The Huskies Defense was decimated by injury and yet still was able to keep the game somewhat within reach.
Then I watched Clemson obliterate Ohio State. Their Defense is legit, and Deshaun Watson is without a doubt the best QB in CFB…[Read more]

And there are allegations that he knew as far back watched early 70s.
JoePa died before he could really be deposed and cross-examined, so we will never really know what he knew and when he knew it.

He was the QB coach for Travis Wilson in 2014, and then was Co-OC/QB coach for Travis in 2015.

Puget Ute replied to the topic Aaron Roderick in the forum Football 7 years, 10 months ago
Aaron is a good guy and is widely respected as a coach (though not by fans). He will land on his feet and hopefully will get a good gig somewhere else (though probably not making $410K + up to $60k in bonuses – hope he was wise with the money).
But the truth is now is the time to move on. He did a lot to move the program forward, and now the…[Read more]

Unfortunately Westlee Tonga’s tweet a few days ago fueled that fire.
That said, I sincerely hope Troy Taylor’s offensive scheme will take into account the far speedier/more athletic LBs/Corners/Safeties will will face in the PAC. As long as he can train the QBs to quickly make the right decision, and act on it, and help get the ball to our…[Read more]

Exactly. The ‘legal issue’ is much worse/more ‘involved with his free time’ than the legal trouble that got Joe Williams kicked out of UConn.
Good for him for paying his debt to society. I hope he comes out the other end a changed person.

Puget Ute replied to the topic PSU taking a knee when Jackson was hurt in the forum Football 7 years, 10 months ago
To be honest, the Penn State players and coaches are going to be under an extreme microscope over the next few years/decade. They will need to be extremely squeaky-clean in all aspects, just to get the benefit of the doubt from people. And I think they will justifiably earn a reputation as squeaky-clean.
That said, I think the PSU players…[Read more]

There there were some legal issues he needed to take care of first, iirc. He looks to be a tremendous player.
I love the QBs we have in the pipeline. I think Taylor will put us in a much better position by developing them right.

That was an amazing comback and finish!
But how about Penn State scoring on 4 straight plays, and 6 straight possessions? That was fun to watch. They would have given Clemson a better game than Ohio State managed.
