Chris Petersen makes a few absolutely boneheaded playcalls each game. And yet he is one of the finest coaches in all of CFB. Give TT a break, he is doing a very good job despite all the road blocks and problems encountered this year.

Puget Ute replied to the topic dang. U Dub fans are savages. https://hardcorehusky.com/discussion/54198/utah-fa in the forum Other Ute Sports 5 years, 12 months ago
That is the worst of the question that website. Others are better. But ever since moving up here I have been more aligned with with the Cougar fans. Too many of the Husky fans are raving dickholes. Even during the 0-win and 3-win seasons they were dickho!es.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but I will say that Tua Togavailoa is amazing to watch in a game. He is like Russell Wilson, but bigger and stronger and faster. He is a real joy to watch.
That being said, Go Bulldogs!!

I am very late to the conversation on this, but I had to count the subscribers for all the ATT providers to see where things line up. I knew there would be some shakeup when ATT bought DirecTV, and more still when they complete the upcoming merger with Time-Warner.
Add to those numbers the fact that ATT mobile phone subscribers (nearly all 145M+…[Read more]

Puget Ute replied to the topic WIth our defense and BYU's offense in the forum Football 6 years ago
Cal has been surprising on the Defensive side this year. They held the zoobs to 18 pkints. In think that sets the bar for.our Defense.
Cal also found the secret to stopping UW and WSU’s offenses, holdingh UW to 10 points and WSU to 19. Whatever they did in those games, copy it! Incidentally Cal has been a real surprise this year. They are on…[Read more] -
Puget Ute replied to the topic BYU-p fans afraid of RES, is it for good reason? in the forum Football 6 years ago
On the blocked FG game (Wrubel’s “No!” game ), I got knocked over by byu-P fans when they barged into the line to get in at the East gates. I was holding both of my 3 yr-old twins, and my wife was managing the coats and diaper bag. I had to kind of step forward/fall onto my knee to avoid falling onto a lady in a wheelchair next to me in line. My…[Read more]

Puget Ute replied to the topic Why are we playing this game? in the forum Football 6 years ago
You bet I’m arrogant. I am sick and tired of having byu on the schedule as our marquee OOC game. It is insane. I don’t mind playing byu, don’t necessarily like the schedule time this year, but having them on the schedule every year has stopped us from scheduling a great H-H series.
Hopefully Mark Harlan can find something special to fill the gaps…[Read more] -

Offering them a beer is seen as extremely offensive, rather than a kind gesture.

Puget Ute replied to the topic Alex Smith 6 to 8 month recovery in the forum NFL 6 years ago
I feel awful about Alex. He had so much more to play for. But doesn’t he have $75M guaranteed remaining on his contract? He can go around doing good things for the rest of his life.
I agree he would make a great analyst or motivational speaker. -

They are notorious for not supporting female graduates. One of my close friends graduated #2 in her class with a graphic arts degree, a program in which byu-P is top 5 in the nation. When she went to the job fair as a senior, she felt they did not tell her about any career opportunities, did not help her with info about grad school programs, and…[Read more]

Gross. I can’t say that.
I do want to see Justin Herbert have a great game. He is a good guy and I want to see him succeed in his last game in his home town, and get a big win.
I also want Oregon’s Seniors and the rest of their players to have a great game too. -
Puget Ute replied to the topic I think Troy Taylor is a keeper in the forum Football 6 years ago
Eastern would be an 80% pay cut. But I think Fresno would work hard to get him, assuming Tedford leaves (rumors have him going to USC). That puts Troy back in his old stomping grounds, where he is still a legend as a QB developer and HS coach. Tedford made $1.55M, and that is hard to turn down.

Puget Ute replied to the topic And then there were 2 in the forum Football 6 years ago
No way Top 10 recruiting classes should ever play this poorly. USC is soft from top to bottom. They just have so much talent they can be complacent.
Thing is, the players likely wouldn’t well respond to a tough coach like Whittingham. Good. The University of Spoiled Children deserves a coach who will coddle them at every turn.
