Kudos to Wishnowski!! Though my favorite is watching him chase down returners wanting to lay the wood.
 

As with the Az St game, Utah had some untimely fumbles that were huge momentum killers. For most teams under these circumstances, these would be game killers. This is one of the most mentally tough Ute teams I’ve ever seen. Also impressive was only 3 penalties for 15 yds.

Huntley was fantastic with his arm and legs. It was fun seeing Ludwig open it up and airing it out. We saw a lot of different backs and receivers making plays. I felt like the D was a step ahead of Leach’s O all night. Kudos to Scalley to try some new things and shut them out in the second half.

He caught himself pretty quickly, but it was definitely there. 

Best of Aaron Eastbound and Down

The uninspiring defense at the end of the game. Our D line and backers got dominated at the end when we needed a stop. One of the more disappointing performances I can remember

Brumfield and Vickers were good. The receivers seemed to struggle to get open

3rd and 1 becomes 3rd and 6. Its always bugged me…

This is a kick in the nuts. Lots of question marks going forward. Defense got its ass kicked….

Granted most of the PAC is in the bottom 3rd. Still nice to get respect from the writers for such a perceived “weak” conference. The next 2 weeks should start to weed out the pretenders.

Alex Smith is truly a stand up guy in every phase of his life. This is a great article detailing just how valuable he is to any franchise he plays for. It would be amazing if he could come back to the program in any capacity.
